There's a middle ground though, he didn't have to constantly go around telling everyone how much he loved BOB and he didn't have to throw him under the bus. He could have and should have taken a more neutral stance when it comes to the worst coach in the history of Houston football. Of course he's "looking out for his brand" now, he knows he's not good enough to make the Texans a contender any time soon since his buddy BOB completely destroyed the team he inherited so he wants to chase brighter lights by betraying the team, his teammates, and his fans a few months after committing to them for 5 years. You might think that's okay, or acceptable, but it's really, really not.
Given his character, I don't think we can rule out the possibility. Anything to get what he thinks he wants.
Maybe ne needs to get his girlfriend pregnant, break up with her and then get his next girlfriend pregnant! That seems to be the line in the sand for this team!
Well some people dont believe he was the worst coach in the history of Texans football, statistically he was the best! (just being facetious). He's not good enough? LOL Okay thats your opinion. Seems like most of the NFL is falling over themselves for a chance to land the guy so that might speak for itself. Only betrayal so far has been on the part of the team. I wont be forced to work for someone who has proven that my best interest is not their best interest - magnify that x1000 when it comes to professional sports. These guys are not slaves. (insert your contract figures here since that is where this will probably devolve to). The Texans are pathetic. Anyone still dying on the hill for them is not doing themselves any favors.
I mean, if we’re wanting to maximize return then Jets it is. There are a lot of reports with him wanting the Jets, some that refute it. Ultimately I’d like to keep him because you don’t get that talent very often. But if it’s done, I want the best package possible.
What in his entire history as a human being would make you post that? Seriously. To insinuate that he would beat his partner is pretty low man and doesnt really help your case in any way whatsoever. The guy is an upstanding young man. He has done many things to give back already and here you are calling his character into question. I think that shows just how much your feelings are hurt.
No, I'm not saying that's my opinion, I'm saying it's HIS opinion. If he thought he was good enough none of this would be happening. He's looking at guys who are better than him like Mahommes get all of the attention he wishes he was getting and he knows he's not good enough to take a KC type team to that level, so he's hoping to chase brighter lights in order to get more attention in a larger market. Watson doing all he can to hurt the franchise first by backing BOB who was destroying the team the whole time he was here, now by making the process of rebuilding after his guy BOB destroyed everything more difficult shows just what kind of person he is. He's signed long term, he could be part of the solution, but he's dead set on being the biggest problem.
They aren’t slaves. That rhetoric is tired. Texans are pathetic, just keep the same energy if he goes to one of these other pathetic teams. And anyone going to these lengths to stick up for a player that is showin his ass 5 months after signing an extension is due for a let down too. He doesn’t care about you.
Hey man, whatever it takes to get his way. He's proven that he has no loyalty to anyone or anything, you can't ever discount what people like that can and will do to get their way. I mean, you can go on and on about the things he does to save on his taxes, but he's exposed his true character over the past few months.
But prior to this year the talent was negligible right? I mean you're not even convinced he would amount to much of an illustrious career in a football wasteland, but now he would be hard to replace! That really tickles me! Watson is the one. Plenty people saw it early, plenty people doubted and worse of it was for his own team to doubt him and say that he wasnt as important as he is. This whole situation can be laid neatly in Cal McNairs lap.
again more rhetoric and mumbo jumbo. You assume he's jealous and will portray him in the most negative light possible in order to satisfy your narrative. I get it. Why rebuild with these idiots? Its a waste of time for guys who have a very limited window already. If Watson was only about money he'd be this happy camper and just come to work and play for a sht team and franchise, but he's willing to lose money in order to go somewhere that values winning over "culture".
I gave you a chance Bobby .. I have to put you on ignore. If you are going to be a Reality Denier here then you're not worth my time. Be well.
I don’t get what you don’t get. I’ve never said he wasn’t talented. I’ve said he’s not Mahomes and he’s damn sure not “there” yet. He has the potential to get there. But there are a lot of factors that go into him being an all timer. Health, success, team success being some of them. The Watson only fan crew just can’t seem to be objective. Comparing him to Mahomes when he should be compared to Allen. In your minds he’s the best in the league sans Mahomes. In almost every other teams mind and the leagues mind, he’s a top 5 guy with a lot of potential. There is a gap there.
Watson is a big part of why the team is in the state it is now.....so he'd be rebuilding what sticking with his guy destroyed. To him, it's not about winning anyway, he knows he can't win with the Jets, but even making the playoffs with the Jets will put him in the spotlight constantly. Here, he'd have to be as good as Mahomes and actually win a SB to get that kind of spotlight and he knows he's not that good.
But he wants to go to another crap team? If he just wants to be away from the Texans, fine. Be honest about it. You keep saying he just wants to win, but you don’t actually know what his priorities are.
I completely get it. Prior to September the team had a direction that placed winning football games near the top and that has changed. Again, why do you want him to waste his career here? Im over the whole "all time" fantasy talk. In one hand you say "yeah the team does suck" but in the other you want Watson to suck with them? Why? If you really cared about the player you'd want what was best for him especially after the owners and managers of have shown their true colors. No? Texan Fan Only?
LOL, adorable. "Be well" a reminder of another head case player, probably one of your personal favorites right?
