I like your point it goes both ways from the owners and player stand point these things wouldn't be so if we a CEO that knew anything about football .

    Huh?
Nothing is nefarious. Stop looking for something that isn’t there.

Texans ownership sucks. Deshaun is not being honest and acting like a diva. What Favre said is true, even if he didn’t follow his own words. Nothing about this is race based, just because it’s easy to say that and get sympathy doesn’t mean it’s true.

Since you seem to know Deshaun personally, can you tell us what he's being dishonest about?

That's a fair criticism, I do need to do a better job of not hitting back at posters who are bad faith actors when they accuse others of racism, bigotry, or assign them some kind of political allegiance based on a disagreement that is completely unrelated to any of those things.

I do struggle to hide my disdain for those types of people, and I should do a better job of it. I do personally believe that the kinds of people who attempt to derail threads with those tactics are deficient in many respects, but I understand that expressing that belief does not improve the discourse.....so I just shouldn't. I'll work on it.

I should just ignore those kinds of posters, but when threads become dominated by that kind of BS, you basically have to abandon the thread to the circle jerk of ad hominem stupidity and religious bigotry or attempt to push back against it. Perhaps I do so too frequently and with too much force.

Allowing the rhetoric to continue, then his agent refuting it, then posting subtle hints in form of song lyrics after agreeing to a contract. It just rings dishonest. If he’s going to let this play out in public, come out and say what it is one way or the other.

Since you think different, and you know him so well. What makes you think he’s handling this properly?

NICE! He professes his love to work hard for a coach (like many, many NFL players).

Where has he (or any other player for that matter) said they agree to any of the personnel moves or on field decisions of their GM?

Side eye surprise at the Hop trade.
    ---

In your ideal world, would DW4 say "BOB sucks"? And then get traded for a bag of twisties like Hop? Lol

Wow! Child Molester! I'm very disappointed in you Bobby - you used to be much more creative with your insults. Now I realize that trying to have a rational discussion with you on this subject is akin to trying to discuss reality with a QAnon believer because like them, the MAGA cultists and whatever passes for the Republican Party these days, you only choose to believe what fantasy that's in vogue for the moment - or what the voices inside DJT's head are whispering at any given point in time. Anyway...

You didn't even attempt to understand just why Watson became upset with the Texans. No, you instantly dismissed his concerns in the most arrogant and condescending manner possible while making baseless statements aluding to his lack of character and maturity. According to you just who was he to dare act like he had to right to question the auhority of ownership - said ownership being Cal McNair. Now, it didn't matter to you that it was Cal who came to Watson and told him that he'd be consulted on the GM hire. At no time was Watson demanding to pick the GM or head coach for that matter. He simply was given the impression by Cal that his POV would be taken into consideration. Instead, Cal has a prayer session with Easterby, completely blows off the recommendations of the search firm and hires Caserio and Watson, like the rest of us, finds out via Twitter (just like he found out about DHop). It was the condescending disrespect from Cal that proved to be the last straw for Watson.

Watson is rightfully concerned about the culture and direction of this organization especially after giving his all during what essentially was a wasted season. That plus the just plain dumbass moves by GM BoB (the Hopkins & Tunsil trades), the creeping influence of Easterby, the sad state of team culture particularly amongst the staff and the "hiring" of David Culley (the very definition of "window dressing"). Any objective person who follows the Texans can see the cluster**** going on over on Kirby yet judging from the tenor of your postings, Deshaun "somehow crossed the line" by not only having but expressing said concerns. No matter.

Now if you had bothered to stop and think for a moment you would have realized that it's taken the Texans 20 years to "luck" upon a true franchise QB (thanks Rick Smith) and in just 2 years since Bob McNair's passing they have managed to completely destroy their relationship with said QB. Whereas Bob ran the Texans like a plantation, Cal has opted to run the Texans like a clown circus. Worse, they have placed this team between a rock and a hard place as far as wasting not only Watson's talents but those of JJ as well. It's no wonder he wants out because as he enters his peak productive years he has to watch his contemporaries play for organizations that are actually about football (with one of them playing in his 2nd straight Super Bowl). It's going to take them years to dig out of this mess and that's only if Caserio is actually in charge and has the authority to do what's necessary. With Easterby around, that's no longer a given - witness how the so-called search for a head coach turned out. This place has become an absolute joke in the league but nobody in Houston is laughing right now. One more thing: you really need to stop listening to all of those sports "insiders" out there who are filling up air time with innuendo and prospective "trades" for Watson because they are just as clueless as Cal. But hey, whatever, right? This intelligent enough for you?

Not only do you fail to understand what I was saying, you also double down on the ad hominem stupidity I was calling you out for to begin with. Good job!

@Verbal Christ see what I'm dealing with here? What's the "high road" when it comes to dealing with abject unhinged stupidity like this? Just ignore the slander and allow the well to be poisoned? That might be the "high road", but it only leads to more of this kind of stupidity from others who might be fooled into thinking there is a basis for the slander.

Congratulations on your stunning display of reading comprehension.

@Verbal Christ you chastised me for suggesting that these kinds of posters are "inferior" posters.....well, is that not demonstrably true based on their actions? These are the types constantly derailing threads with nonsense or their own lack of reading comprehension skills.

How do you propose to deal with them?

Because despite Hillboy's almost constant nonsense, I took everyone off ignore when I came back. I just prefer people learn how to control themselves and act like adults so that ignoring them won't be necessary.

Brett Faeve retiring in his 30s after a long career is not the same as retiring at 25 because you want to force a trade because you were dumb(or lacked principles) and signed a long term extention 4 months ago

I hear they eat babies and love their sisters. At one point there was a video about it.
