The Rodeo is only good for getting drunk, eating food and checking out the cosplay cowgirls. I've only seen Garth Brooks and I've been going for a decade. The wine garden is actually the better music venue. Lots of local and state musicians
Yeah I’m sure I’d be able to have fun. But I’m so busy these days with sports school and work that I’d rather spend that free time doing something else probably when it involves traveling and large crowds. On a side note have you seen Tom Segura and his wives podcast when they talk about Garth Brooks??
It's like Houston's version of Mardi Gras. Music lineup gets worse every year, but we do like to take the kids to the carnival. We would actually get there at 10am and have all the rides to ourselves for an hour or so. Then have something fried for lunch and go walk around and look at the animals. Buy a few souvenirs and be out of there by the time all the drunks start arriving for the show.
This is what I've come to understand. It's all about drinking until you think you can dance, and eating until you think you're gonna puke. The concert is dumb and best avoided. The real entertainment is the local & southwestern music at the semi-big tents.
I was thinking about this after the tragedy, can he get insured for one of his performances ever again? Wouldn't think any reputable indemnity company would touch him with a 1000 pole anytime soon.
