Trying to back down Harden? He is built like a tank, he doesn't even let centers back him up. The way to defeat him is with speed and quickness, either go around him or drive by him. All the quick guards eat him up in the perimeter.

They barely watched Harden at the Rockets. He could have done that for us if he had a better supporting cast for most of his years. Most times he had to be more selfish so we could win our games.

    lmfao "he changed"

He's playing the exact same way he always has. He's just not as aggressive scoring, because the nets don't need 35 ppg from him. just to win games.

harden had good supporting casts...he was just stuck in his ways to play iso...lets stop making excuses for him and making it seem like he doesn't have anything to do with him underachieving...in some years you can make that argument...but you cant say that was the reason he played that way most of the time...cp3, dwight, westbrook...oh and that 65 win team from 3 yrs ago..dude had help

Funny you say that...dwight actually showed up in the playoffs when he was here..and he was still in his prime when he was with us..harden never passed him the ball in his last year...oh and westbrick...HARDEN ASKED TO PLAY WITH HIM..you also didnt mention cp3...gawd harden stans cant face the reality that some of harden's shortcomings are because of him..he's a great player but he definitely had stretches in big moments where he didnt show up...Harden "concussion" against the spurs yet he went and partied right after the game...game 7 against the warriors..game 6 against the clippers..game 6 against the warriors with no durant...game 6 against the blazers just to name a few

Reminds me of Prime Yao in a sense. Back to the basket bigs like Dwight can't do **** against, but the face up bigs like Amare or Pau kill him.

LMAO man...we arent talking about why he didnt win the chip...we are saying why he always iso'd...and who knows maybe his desire to play iso and crappy perimeter defense had something to do with that..stop the nonsense and take off the goggles

why he always iso'd. umm maybe bc that's who he is a player. that's a surprise to folks? oh casuals i mean. He became an mvp of the league being that and should really be a multi time mvp.

Kobe couldn't even win with Dwight. Dwight got ran off the floor by small ball in those Warriors series, and didn't want to adjust to being a PNR roller because he wanted to display his trash post game. Then he left the Rockets and was an afterthought since. Then the Rockets replaced him with Capela that did everything Dwight didn't want to do.

Harden had 1 year with the Rockets of playing with an actual all-star caliber player pulling his weight, and the Rockets won 65 games (could've won 70+ if he wasn't so injured and missed so many games). and was up 3-2 over the most talented team in nba history before you know what happened. Then that guy came back the next year out of shape, injury prone the entire year, and layed an egg in the semifinals when harden was brilliant, which prompted the move to Westbrook.

Every superstar has stretches where they don't show up, It's about having players that not only step up when you have those 10% games where you're not amazing, but also perform when you're actually playing well too.

lolol "casuals" ...really convenient to throw that garbage around when someone disagrees with you...btw you're literally proving my point.. harden always isos bc thats who he is as a player...hence the whole argument...harden is an iso player....also no one disputing hes a great player...but to say he is flawless and only isos because he has to is nonsense

Again, i'm not saying harden isnt great...but to make the argument that he only played iso because he absolutely had to isn't true..he never even tried to play any other way...

yeah when you say things like he had good supporting casts and was stuck in his ways well pretty casual to me. especially naming guys like dwight and westbrick as his #1 help where hes expected to win. not even close

i'm just talking about how people act like harden played with some amazingly talented running mates while he was on the rockets.

I really think D'Antoni and Morey taught Harden some bad habits after 2017. He didn't play so exclusively iso heavy with Mchale. then again, that style turned him into an MVP and gave him the most team success as a starter.
