    This may be more of an elective surgery than required dental surgery. You want all your teeth to touch perfectly or just make it better than what you have now?

    Yep. This is what my options are. I already had invisalign and it closed the gap of my open bite considerably, but didn't bring my teeth together. The ortho told me I can get invisalign again to close the gap almost completely but if I want a proper bite then surgery will be required.

    Are you really gonna pay someone 40k to break your jaw?

    As long as you have healthy gums, no cavities, aren't you just fine from an oral health perspective?

    I couldn't pay it if I wanted to. I'm hoping to find some medicaid company I can switch to that will cover most of the surgery.

    I have good oral health, but the open bite is often painful to deal with.

    I second medical vacation for elective surgeries. Have you also looked into Asia??

    I had a pretty decent underbite in my teens, I did braces and some bands/spacer in an attempt to align my teeth, it helped a little bit but still had a slight underbite, they recommended I got my jaw broken and I said **** yall I'm out.

    Somehow over the years, my teeth have shifted into a more favorable position of almost being directly on top of each other on it's own, still not how it's supposed to be still (We're supposed to have an ever so slight overbite apparently).

    Why is it painful to deal with? Does it cause breathing issues or you just don't like how it looks?

    just make sure if you ever do do it you research the **** out of it.

    All the kids are doing it. I’m not that old but I have heard a number of girls in their 20’s saying they love to peg their boyfriends.

    Yup.... I thought it was a joke at first but nope... the young women are pegging like a one legged pirates and the young men apparently are often times happy to play first mate.

    I have done a lot of weird stuff, but I have never said “Land ahoy!” in the bedroom.
