i was excited b/c i thought it was a thread about new mexico then i clicked on the thread and was disappointed.
I lived in Las Vegas, NM for a summer, and we took family trips to that area several times. We would ride horses up into the Rockies. Beautiful.
Vanilla flavored ice milk takes on a different meaning in my head than vanilla flavored ice cream. Just sounds weird man. Also, do they have these in NM?
Unknown. They had them at my Jr. High in Alvin. It was delicious, and since I was 12-13, hilarious every time.
My grandparents always used to buy ice milk instead of ice cream. I think the term is very much out of fashion, especially since the introduction of high end boutique ice cream in the 1970s and 1980s with first Haagen Dazs and then Ben & Jerrys and onward. Basic ice cream really isn't a thing anymore.
ive been to santa fe twice in the last four years. its a really cool town. meow wolf is a must see, but equally impressive was the museum of international folk art. the new mexico-style mexican food is great too. its christmas year-round out there! if i was going to move out of austin that would be a place i would consider. its expensive though.
made my own banana split today. little banana with a mountain of ice cream and some eminems and chocolate sauce
Driven through New Mexico a few times. Only stayed in the state once...in Gallup...when I was moving to Vegas. Beautiful place. Occasionally, the flagship university has a really good basketball team.
