I think there are a few unstoppable moves.

• The step back, can't guard it without fouling.
• The post hook, with a tall guy there is nothing you can do to stop it. Get down low, post hook, nothing they can do.
• The fadeaway, again, nothing you can do to stop a fadeaway, rarely you can block it but...like the fade away you're likely just going to foul them. Bonus if you're Dirk's or Durant's height and it's a post fadeaway. Can't be stopped.
• And the floater.

Can't stop it without fouling a guy. I'm so excited to see Wood can knock those down. All of these are difficult shots to master though but they are basically cheese if you can.

But with the mid range shot you are right, not everyone is CP3 or Durant but that mid range shot makes CP3 who he is. His ability to dothat is what makes him special. If Russ had at least a mid-range shot he'd be A LOT better and his game would have aged a lot better...although with Russ it's not for lack of practice or trying...he just can't shoot, period.

But I think some guys could really evolve their games using it and if it makes you better in the clutch? Then you should add it to your game. We've seen Kawhi and CP3 win games on it. Why is that? Why don't they try to win games on the 3 point shot?

It's just harder to guard a guy in that area of the floor especially if there's movement around him and he has the IQ to make the right play like CP3 does.

I mean even if I concede that it should only be used in clutch minutes that is still an extremely valuable trick to pull out of your bag to close a game. CP3 did that tonight hit a few of those when every bucket matters it hurts the other team.

I just think if a player can add a dimension to their game, they should do. If wood was like "Yeah, I wanna work on my low post game." I'm going to be all for it. It doesn't mean we should be feeding him post ups all the time but you never know when a match-up might favor that or when it is needed.

Pretty good post. I think we finally reached our common ground on this haha.They really are cheese if you can master them though, you are right. It almost makes you playoff proof because theses are the type of shots defenses want to give up.

I think back to all the times I said that if we would get more guys involved on the offensive end - then they would be more engaged on the defensive end... and i was poohpooh'ed.... lol!

Harden dissing the whole team brought the team together plus John Wall is a real team leader

EGo was unhappy with his role and/or the system.

I believe our current offense doesnt rely on 3 pointer anymore but yet we broke the franchise record tonight...amazing!

 

Because it still does.

Like all modern offenses do.
