I know Melo sucks but he could have been useful on the block and mid range but NOPE, diva didn't want to work with him plus mid range was apparently out of the question.

Sure. And those were 5 too many imo. He was but Dantoni gave the star players mandates to shoot however they felt like it. Chris Paul took a lot here. And yes Westbrook was terrible. And he's been terrible in the playoffs when he wasnt injured. See playoffs against teh Jazz and Blazers.

We didnt get many opportunities like that to begin with. Yea its not a good look but its also inconsequential in the grand scheme of things.

It doesn't look like it makes a difference, because well it doesnt. The coach has even said he doesnt like mid range. He didnt like it at Dallas either. He usually likes them more in the clutch which is where I prefer the mid range as well. Actively discouraging, being open to it, it doesn't really matter since we arent taking significantly more than when Mike/Morey were here.

If the open midrange is there then take it, but the reality is that most teams are shooting a lot more threes now. Everyone is playing the analytical game so you have to be able to make a bunch of threes to win.

 

Let it go, the mid range did jack shat.
