This will be a good game, both teams play hard and scrap. I hope House can fill in for Nwaba, he always brings that energy and we will need that.

 

if only there were a place where we could talk Rockets basketball and say things like "I think we are a top 5 team in the West" without getting assaulted by "cheap tilly" and "we suck without Harden" responses that turn into useless arguments

Instead of finding Nwaba replacement, let's just give Cousins more minutes. When Wood was nursing ankle, Cousins easily played 30+min, with Wood back Cousins only played 11 and 14min last two games.

Yes. Cousins should actually start with Tucker and Wood.

It's not an optimal lineup, but here's the deal: when you are coming back from injury, it is much harder to trust your body when you are cold. When you warm up pre-game your muscles loosen up and muscle memory kicks in and overtakes the brain. When you then sit on a chair your brain regroups and starts sending again the signals of doubt and fear, which are just normal neural pathways of self-preservation against re-injury.

I myself am dealing with exactly this now after an injury: my knee is strong I can do a lot when I warm-up, but getting up from a chair, I am still gingerly and unsure.

So what I am saying is Cousins should start and Tate should come off the bench. After that Silas can adjust the rotation, but an injured veteran will come back easier if starting.
