    His intelligence level is NOT reflected on the basketball court or on anything basketball related. Could be wrong, I don't know his academic background, but he just seems like an intelligent dude. o_O

    Someone mentioned that he didn't start playing serious basketball until highschool, couple that with him not playing pointguard in college, his freakish athleticism, and bad coaching and you get a hopelessly low basketball IQ player.

    I have been piling on the criticism of Russ and the Wizards. Guilty. But maybe tanking and getting the #1 pick in the draft was the teams mgmt goals all along? They current hold the NBA's worst record, so maybe their plan is unfolding just perfectly?

    btw, Russ's PER is 12.36. Sounds about right I think.

    and PER is a stat that tends to inflate the value of high volume players, so that 12.36 number is even worse than it looks. his WS48 of -0.064 is maybe the worst i've ever seen over any significant number of minutes. even oubre has recovered enough from his disastrous start to be at basically 0 win shares.

    It sucks that we got hosed all those draft picks, but I am sure glad Stone saved us the trouble of watching Russ play this season and got us a little value back. I don't think I could watched us tank the season watching this fool play.

    What makes me laugh is people will claim he's a goat again.

    He's a good player on his day, but he's very stoppable. He's very streaky and does a lot of dumb ****. He's always injured and is very predictable; drive to the basket and force it up. Doesn't work against teams with a decent defense.

    Amazing game from him tonight, but mostly due to the fact the Nets had small people in the paint for most of the game. If the Nets had an actual paint defender out there tonight, Westbrook probably struggles and the Nets win by 40 points.

    We’ve all been killing him (rightfully so) for how terrible he was in the playoffs, and how terrible he’s been to start this year. But he was very good tonight, no need for qualifications. If I’m gonna kill him when he’s bad, I have to admit when he’s good.
