The stats show that he's been bad for the team. And I havent told you differently. There are games here and there where he outplays Nwaba and Tate, that Blazers game being an example. But for the most part, SIlas has not used him correctly and he's also declined. But unlike you i want to pay the man for what he has done. And I dont mind him being bad here because of the tank, but he could also mentor some of the "Young" guys here(hopefully Mason Jones). But they arent going to pay him, so trade him to a contender.
Nah youve been saying your eye test tells you otherwise and he deserves his mins. That what you kept insisting in the game thread when I told you Tucker needs his PT reduced cuz he hurting the team. I think Tucker had indeed been paid for what he has done. He made 30M in 4 yrs. Yeah he is a defensive superstar but players who dont produce dont get paid even if they are defensive superstars like Ariza, Shane Battier, Rondo and Bruce Bowen. Players like them dont get big deals even if they guard the best superstars in the world. He deserves an extension but it should come from a contender or wannabe contender and not the Rockets.
Check PJ Tucker's RAPTOR this year, my guy. 4th lowest on the entire list from your link. Lower than Russell Westbrook! Your own stats have dunked on you. CASE CLOSED
LMAO Im not advocating for paying based on future performance. He was underpaid here and you said he wasnt. You were wrong. He deserves his money. PAY THE MAN
No I havent go reread what I wrote. I told you for that game, Tucker was better than Nwaba and Tate. And so was his defense. And I told you there was a reason that Silas(who know mores than you or I)played him and there is a reason so many guys on this team love and respect him. No he hasnt. You are not an evaluator of NBA contracts. He's worht much more than a 30 million for 4 years for what he has produced for this team and how he has performed in the playoffs. Those guy you mentioned have gotten paid more than what Tucker got, which is why he is upset. Go check his RAPTOR and his stats for the previous playoffs and get back to me. I disagree. But then again, Im fine either way. Loyalty means something. He has been underpaid here, that is a fact.
Yeah you told me there is a reason he has played so many mins. So basically you are disagreeing with me when I said he deserves to get his PT reduced cuz he is hurting the team. You also said your eye test tells you differently. Bruh. Im not an evaluator of NBA contracts and neither are you. So how can you say he is worth more than 30M? Your opinion matters as much as mine you cant say Im no expert and then categorically state your opinion like its the law. You are just a netizen just like me. His value is 30M/4 thats what the market decided. Whether overvalued or undervalued before it doesnt matter thats sunk cost already hus contract is expiring what matters is his new deal and whether that makes sense for the Rockets. I dont care what his Raptor is last playoffs is today last playoffs? MJ was the goat in 1990s you gonna pay him 40M today?
The Rockets need a 6'8 Defensive Power Forward/Small Forward/Strong against Centers, Defensive Combo, Laterally Quick to guard Point Guard or SF Star Players on switches. Player 25 years old or younger. High IQ. Rockets do need a Specific Need in the Starting Lineup. JaeSean Tate but a Taller Version. Can KJ Martin step up into that Role. He is 20 years old too.
agreed. but he gives me a mid-level extension. maybe if he can grab more balls in the restricted area, i'd get fully extended.
Yea I did, dont like it. Take it up with the coach who knows way more about basketball than you. I've already told you the stats are what they are. He hasnt been good in Silas's system. And I have never told you my eye tests was more important than the stats, go reread what I wrote. Bruh. Because he outperformed the value the he put in in the playoffs compared with other guys at his position. And other players around the league. He was even asked to be on Team USA. Not its not market value because he literally took less money to come here. He has been underpaid. He also outplayed his contract by a lot. And has literally been our most consistent playoff performer since he has been here. The stats show that. My opinion is more informed here. Im gonna pay him because A. He's been underpaid. B. He's been the heart and soul of this team for 3 years. C. It doesnt matter to pay him now as we are not going to be contenders in 2-3 years(he also helps with a tank if there is one) and D. Its shows loyalty for everything he has done. and E. He can also mentor the young guys like he has been doing. I dont care about paying him when this team isnt winning a chip any time soon.
