Utah Lakers Clippers Nuggets Grizzles Suns Trailblazers Warriors I'm just not convinced that the rockets can beat one of these teams fully loaded. The grizzles are coming up, but load management is going to messed that up. The rockets are going to need the full team to beat this team. If they can get a win against one these teams that will open my eyes. Right now I'm just not seeing it.
Don't forget there is a play in also. Just stay close and you will get a shot but I think that this team is top 8 anyways. I think that they have a legit 2 more levels that they can get to. Mostly all of the guys on the team should get better as the season goes on. Wall, Cousins, and Oladipo still haven't played much ball in recent years. They will get better month by month, if not week by week. That's not even counting that these guys are all learning totally new teammates and system. This will be by far the worst version of these Rockets as long as Wall, Boogie, and Oladipo don't break down which is also possible
We’re better than the Grizzlies, Suns, Trailblazers, and Warriors. And I promise you, Utah doesn’t want to see us either. All those teams are great matchups for us because they rely heavily on guard play, and our biggest strength is locking up on the perimeter. This team is a 5th seed no doubt.
The Suns are 1 hammy away from the lottery. The Warriors better pray Curry still hatching chickens. Jazz, I pray they lose every game.
Warriors, Portland, Grizzlies are all teams I think the rockets could potentially be better than. Im not as confident as some posters that the rockets are definitively better than these teams, but I think it's pretty clear that we could finish with a better record. Injuries will play a major part. Steph could get hurt, Blazers are already dealing with CJ and Nurkic injuries, and COVID will play a part. You don't have to beat a team fully loaded to make the playoffs over them.
I agree with you. I put that fully loaded in their because the rockets beat the blazers with players missing.
Did you try opening your eyes?? 1) Clippers are a team that falters during the playoffs. Their counting on PG and OTHERS....why you think Kawhi hasn't signed that extension? 2) Denver does not play enough defense 3) Portland small backcourt and their always hurt 4) Utah interesting team but can be exposed. 5) LAL very good and deep team but LeBron is falling off offensively....YES, I SAID IT! If you look at the final minute against Boston last night, he flat out did not want to shoot and when AD is not playing, they're vulnerable
Judging Lebron in a meaningless regular season game. I'm sure that's gonna go well. We all know Lebron in the playoffs is way better than he shows in regular season. Also looked to me that he wanted the ball on the last play but Davis didn't make the pass and turned it over. Not to mention they still won.
Portland and Phoenix once they get healthy will finish 5 and 6. Houston is not better than either team. It's a complete toss up at 7-8 Golden State Houston Memphis New Orleans San Antonio Dallas There is a benefit to finishing 7-8 as you only need to win 1 game to make it VS the 9-10 who need 2 wins.
If you can make these assumptions against all of these teams for not being good then one can easily make the assumption Houston hasn't played anyone good in their win streak. And a lot of the teams have been missing multiple key players.
I don’t care if we make the playoffs or not. That 4th pick is icing on the cake. Pretty much a coin toss with Rox slight lean.
We suffer from having had arguably the second or, at worst, fourth best team the last 4 years -- that has skewed some fans' perception of what a good team looks like. Of course we're not at that level any more, but it is wrong to suddenly believe we've fallen three tiers down. Outside of the championship tier, every other team has weak spots - who wins depends on matchups, health, luck and getting hot at the right time. We are right there with anyone other than LAx2 and maybe Denver. That doesn't mean we would be favored, but it is foolish to say 'we are just not as good and don't have a chance.'
Should be interesting to let it pan out. Based on the schedule, and how things fair next schedule. Rockets could be introuble if they play some tough teams, but they need to capitalize on this first half of easy games. They can get a little padding on the w's to be prepared for a harder 2nd half. There going to be some tough losses probably, even like okc the next 2 games, rockets could very well lose both games. Thunder have some good young talent.
We’ll see Spurs and Grizzlies soon, which should be a good test. I’m not sold on OKC this year, but I’m no expert on them.
At least you were good enough to leave out the Mavs Spurs are underwhelming . .. i expect more from them Rocket River
