What a game. This teams defense is for real - last night the Pelicans dropped 131 on the bucks and looked like they were headed to 120 after the first quarter. The final score is a little misleading as the starters were pulled with 5 mins left and us up by 23 while the Pelicans had just gotten to 100 points and struggled mightily to score before throwing in the towel.

I thought the officiating wasnt great, but that we got more favorable calls than the Pelicans. The flagrant on the Boogie shot was a joke as it didn't look like much more than a personal foul. We were sloppy at a few points and were fortunate Bledsoe and Ingram missed multiple wide open 3's.

But our D was on it most of the game. Most of their shots were not only contested, but taken with the defender in a position to block the shot. Our rebounding against a bigger team was superb throughout, and offensively our ball movement was great, especially when Wall was out of the game. I really feel like House should be starting given his 3-point shooting and our starting unit right now has no skilled 3 point shooters (well, outside of Tucker) and we end up starting slow watching Wall take a couple of deep 3's.

I liked that Silas went to the bench quicker than he did last night and that he stuck with the hot lineups instead of forcing in subs. Nwaba, Tate, Brown, etc. just played excellent throughout on both ends of the floor, and at the risk of repeating what everyone's saying, this team is a really fun team to watch.

I'd like to see Wall move the ball a little quicker. For some reason he's going into iso mode too often, and he's trying to do too much instead of letting he game come to him. Wood ends up being the loser as he'll go long stretches without touching the ball whereas he should be a focal point of the offense. In any case, great win and one to continue building on.

LOL. We have this talented team and an insane number of draft picks going forward. We're set for a while, baby.

This is my problem with Wall and why the offense often looks ugly when he's in, which surprises me given that he's known as a good and frequent passer. He seems to be a ballhog on the Rockets...Often he's just in ISO mode, and if he drives in, he's just focused on scoring and not passing even though there are multiple wide open players at the 3-point line.

We have a star in Christian Wood. Also MIP when it’s all said and done. Even his defense is improving. Silas is a great coach. You can tell the players love playing for him and his system is fluid and fun to watch. From dumpster fire prognosis and calls to tank this team is on a mission to prove otherwise. Love it!!!

Loving this, I've read on RealGM from other fans going "These Rockets are actually likeable, I enjoy watching them"
    With Vizzini voice: "Inconceivable!!!"

They are forming an identity. Still need more time for Wall and Ola to fully trust wood and play with him. One great thing about Harden was he kept feeding Wood and made it effortless for him. Wall seems like he has so much to prove to himself and the world in terms of his leadership and physical ability I think he gets selfish sometimes. Cant really blame him. But I have faith things will settle down.
