Damm man. Can yall imagine if Harden was a good rebounder? He would probably average 20. To bad he isn't a good one though.
I would put Harden above Curry on this list, i dont see too many players playing like steph in todays NBA. But look at the young players of today in Trae and Luka and both are on record stating they watch tape of Harden. Even Kawhi said that way back when he was on the Spurs. Harden needs a ring BADLY to get his just due
The only reason people have Steph up there above JH is because of rings. Having rings is the dumbest argument in sports.
Don't be HOF's. Steph revolutionized volume 3 point shooting and limitless range. Too many kids are trying to play like Steph, which is kind of a detriment to the game, because they lack the fundamentals and practice Steph has. I'd have Harden as 5th most influential. He revolutionized isolation basketball, drawing fouls, unlocked the formula to efficient volume scoring, and turned one of the hardest shots in basketball into a normal shot (the stepback 3)
Playing with this great offense, Harden is likely to have his most efficient season since his last in OKC. He's never had a season above 62% TS with the rockets and he's currently at .63% with the nets. I wouldn't be surprised if he finishes this season in Durant/Curry territory of 64% 65% +.
Rockets were shooting way more 3's than the warriors before the warriors and Bob Myers in particular stole Morey and Hinkie's philosphy this game was in 2013 Prior to that game the warriors were were ranked 15th in the NBA in 3 point attempts, after this game according to ESPN's Zach Lowe the Warriors were 2nd to only the rockets for the remainder of that season in 3 point attempts. The only reason why they went with 3 ball approach is because Bob Myers had to convince then warriors coach mark jackson that the warriors were better equipped to win with that style than we were. Prior to that, the warriors used to get stomped by the rockets and harden
lol people been taking threes before steph the 3 pt stepback though.. that's a required skill to every baller in the world now
Nobody was taking 11 3's a game before Steph. Harden didn't get up to double digit 3's per game until 2017. Steph was doing it in 2015.
SMH tomayto, tomahto I didn't minimize anything just stating facts. If people were shooting just as many 3's back then like they are now.....Malone probably would have double the rebounds. Harden would have NOT gotten those same rebounds back then even if you guys don't want to admit it. Dude is ok rebounding that is all. Carry on
I think Curry and Harden are both more influential than Kobe. I think Kobe is better than both of them up until this point. And liked more especially since his unfortunate passing. But tons of people have mimicked their games after Jordan Curry and Harden and that is what influential is to me.
The way Kobe played is much harder to replicate. I think most players who try to play like him, but without his talent, are going not going to help their team.
I never said he created the shot, but he took volume 3 point shooting to a new level. Ray Allen was the prototypical modem volume 3 point shooter, and at his peak he took just a little over 8 a game.
Not if they didn't shoot so many 3's. Keep pretending like the two don't correlate. I don't know what you guys want. I wished him a good game. He looked good out there to me.
I agree, but would add that Kobe's "mamba" mentality has spread amongst the players that considered him a model to follow.
