I think it's safe to say now that the Astros have indirectly caused the entire demise of Houston sports, right?

Cheaters never prosper. The sports' gods have spoken.

    Agreed!

    Signed.

All the players that used HGH and steroids and have won titles.

All the players that used uppers for 30 years that won multiple World Series championships.

Hoping Big Maple is the next move
Still kinda bummed we didn't go after Taillon

I know both have major injury flags, but those are the big-bodied arm talents in which Strom seems to bring out the best

He wants whatever is best for Bauer. This is not the year to be getting a big 1-year deal.

Tyler is def an odd duck
I hope Cole sends him a screen capture every time one of his Yanks deposits goes thru, just to rub it in a little more

Probably zero chance that happens. With guys like Kluber and Richards getting 10-11 million, Paxton will be out of our price range unless we trade McCullers.

Matz was terrible last season and got removed from the Mets’ rotation. I’m sure they were happy to get something for him.

With the stink from garbage like Watson and Harden still polluting the city, it makes me even more grateful for the Astros.

Any news on Aaron Sanchez? Too bad he got injured, was looking forward to seeing what he could do with Astros pitching staff.

Sign him to a minor league deal, especially since the team gave up some prospects for him.

I think we are good there.

I would rather see the Astros sign one of the numerous relclaimation project starters and drop McCullers butt in the bullpen to close games.

I’m high on Lance for this season. He had his struggles early on but he was as dominant as he’s ever been in the playoffs. I think he’s going to impress.

Did we watch the same playoffs? He was bad in 2 starts ( including game 7 of the ALCS) and really good in 1 start, but overall he had the worst numbers of any pitcher that started in the playoffs for the Astros. I didn't include Luis Garcia below since he started but only pitched 2 innings where he gave up no runs.

    Lance's 3 starts...
    ALDS
    4 IP, 5 R, 4 ER, 8 H, 1 BB, 5 Ks, 3 HRs

    ALCS
    7 IP, 4 R, 1 ER, 4 H, 0 BB, 11 Ks, 2 HRs
    3.2 IP, 3 R, 3 ER, 4 H, 1 BB, 7 Ks, 2 HRs

    Cumulative playoff numbers for 2020

    McCullers
    0-2 in 3 starts, 4.91 ERA, 14.2 IP, 7 HRs, 1.23 WHIP, 23 Ks

    Greinke with a bum arm...
    1-0 in 3 starts, 4.30 ERA, 14.2 IP, 3 HRs, 1.16 WHIP, 12 Ks

    Framber Valdez
    3-1 in 3 starts and 4 total appearances, 1.88 ERA, 24 IP, 3 HRs, 1.00 WHIP, 26 Ks

    Jose Urquidy
    0-1 in 3 starts and 4 total appearances, 4.02 ERA, 15.2 IP, 5 HRs, 1.15 WHIP, 24 Ks
