I’ve been in Houston my whole life too, that doesn’t make u special direct that anger to where it actually belongs, the garbage Texans organization Deshaun told them to trade Hopkins and do all this fckery with Easterby? Texans been around for damn near 20 years and have won just 44% of their games...that’s basically the NFL equivalent of the Timberwolves Texans don’t fix upstairs, then the house will continue to be sh*t
Interesting note on income tax. Does anyone know which teams are on the NTC? I can't imagine Watson wanting to play for the Jets... that's a steep 8.82% deducted from the 15 million due this year. That number jumps to 40 million and well do the math on that deduction. I doubt it matters much due to him making back the money off sponsors. And what types of realistic packages would y'all deem "fair"?
Guess contracts are meaningless then. Maybe we need a paradigm shift and start thinking about how entitled athletes are with their contracts and dictating when to break it. Maybe that isn't the right thing to do? Maybe it's bullshit to the fans, especially small market fans. Why defend this bs?
I am extremely frustrated with this franchise. Cal and Easterby have terribly set this team back. Here is a reminder of what this team went thru before finding Watson. Carr Ragone Banks Mallet Savage Hoyer Leinhart Rosenfels Yates Kenum Weeden Schaub Osweiler Now Caserio is not at fault so he has a chance here to right the ship by bringing Watson back some how or by getting a package that resembles the Walker trade. Anything else is a complete failure. Multiple picks All pro player at DL or CB A good young player 25 or under Also get rid of a texans bad contract or two.
but but but watson should just sit back and do nothing. after all, "inmate" mindset right. be a yes sir yes mam like a number of these other losers around here
I must’ve missed the part where demanding a trade wasn’t allowed. Y’all love to compare sports to regular jobs when it doesn’t apply. Organizations had complete power over players for years, and now that we’re in an era where players are gaining power and are able to leverage it to take control of their careers, it’s “how dare they”... organizations show no loyalty and can lie to players all the time, and fans will switch on a dime, but players must remain 100% loyal
Yes. "How dare they" is very apt. Their compensation is living the most lavish lifestyle possible. This is one of the world's smallest violins you are playing. Oh now he has to play for a NFL franchise as a starting qb getting paid millions. Such slave like conditions. Fans are always the most loyal to the team. That is the most one way street dynamic here.
this is how his reply is going to go. hes going to copy and paste his obsession with something like lavish lifestyle and money ramble. edit: lol just saw
Deshaun backed Bill O'brien over and over again. So yes, the Hopkins trade is partially on him. He contributed to the power imbalance that Bill got. As for Easterby... what exactly has he done? I get that everyone hates him for some reason, maybe because he's religious (and believe me, I'm not religious, but i don't get this...). But what has he done, aside from pushing a GM hire he wanted? As of right now, do we have any clue that that GM hire is going to be bad, or good? I know for a fact that Deshaun is not capable of judging NFL personnel competency, based on his track record of backing Bill O'brien.
