Didn’t YOU tell us how awesome BoB was back in the day.

The ownership and board had every opportunity to put together a great front office and find a great coach after firing Bob.

But no, they sat quietly all season and listened to Easterby’s hire last minute for GM and we are last to hire a coach.

No it's what privliged people who don't understand that 60+% of Americans live paycheck to paycheck barely being able to afford basic healthcare expenses say. Money is everything. People are hating every minute they work just to put basic amounts of food on the table.

Do you see how unsympathetic his frustration is in the grand scheme of things?

Want to make a change? Every single Texans player needs to say "Fire Easterbay or none of us are playing."

Seriously, fans who embrace this kind of player empowerment shouldn't bother being fans of teams. Just root for a player.

Breaking news, these players don't give a crap about any of us fans and the majority of them would rather live in a city other than the one they play in.

And he got his money, with that comes a contract that he can either choose to honor or he can go wherever the Texans can get the best offer.

I was a Titans fan for the longest time since the Oilers moved when I was a kid, and I fell in love with the old McNair/George Titans teams.

I stuck with them when the Texans came to town, but after moving back to the Houston-area after college, I was slowly converted to a Texans fan until one day I just said "Screw it. I'm a Texans fan." I made that call probably 5-6 years ago.

Today I regret that decision. But at least the Texans fall in line with the black hole of depression that is Houston sports, so I appreciate that consistency.

Watson's people already leaked that he has no problem with Easterby.

It's interesting how many folks think the Texans "own" Deshaun and can force him to play or retire. Unless something in his contract prohibits him from ever playing in the NFL again (maybe it does but I'd be surprised), why wouldn't he just say he is retiring, take the year off and then come back? Sure he sacrifices one year of earnings, but he has practically no injury risk since he is taking the year off, and there will still be 25+ teams salivating at the idea of giving him record breaking money. I see a lot of assaults on Deshaun's character for wanting to leave this joke franchise, but dudes in here really getting excited about trying to stick it to him and exerting "ownership" speaks a lot to their character.

Maybe playing for championships is more important than the money for D4. This team is on a 4 year rebuild at best with all the dumb ass decisions they've made so far.

Legacy is important to players now more than ever and its not limited to D4 - This is the new standard in professional sports whether fans like it or not - doesnt make it "right" , but its been happening for a while now.

If the team wasnt so stupid D4 would still be here, not sure why THAT isnt the object of everyone's ire instead of turning Watson into a convenient scapegoat and giving the idiots on Kirby a pass.

Michael Vick had offers fresh outta prison, and people don't think Watson couldn't retire and take a year off?

    Haha, two separate sentences combined.

    Nice.

He had requested a trade, and he is within his right to do so. The organization has failed time and time again, EVEN AFTER signing his contract.

it’s plain and simple, clear. Night and day.

His contract term is still valid if he takes a year off. Texans own his rights for the length of his contract

No, I literally never suggested BOB was at all a competent coach. I was against the move from day 1.

In fact, I continued to ask just what he was allegedly good at because he didn't coach defense and the offense kept getting worse year after year with him being here despite putting basically all of the resources into boosting the offense and letting the defense go from being absolutely elite before he got here to one of the worst in the NFL.

BOB flat out destroyed the franchise and Watson backed him every step of the way.....and now that his guy ran things into the ground, Watson is stabbing the franchise and the fans in the back.

And I’m fine with that. As long as the Texans get value for it. If not, he can sit.

You could have worked hard at your sport as a youth, persevered through injury and rose above all the hardships.

Can you throw a 40 yard laser? No.
Can you run a 4.4? No.
Did you win the genetics lottery? No.

Its almost as if there are only a limited amount of those jobs that go to the best of the best huh?

    Well what CAN you do?

Maybe he should gain perspective and realize there are millions of Americans who get paid 1/1000th of what he does who work just as hard as him and hate every minute of the job they work at.

LOL @ the bootlickers in this thread.

What exactly has Cal or Easterby done to earn your support the last 6-7 years?

Watson may be acting less than professional, but he ain't wrong.
