Our team has been poorly coached for the last 6 years. Solution get as many experienced actual NFL coaches as possible mixed with some young up and coming coaches to mentor them. Culley Kelly McCown Lovie ?? ??
Some of you are eat up with so much hate and hypocrisy that you can’t see good in anything except what you think is good. Does that sound familiar? Walk away because there is nothing you can do but bi:: about it and you’re correct that you have that right. But for now if you’re gonna be a Texans fan, you might as well find the positive. I wanted Bienemy , but guess it’s not meant to be.
He is another very religious coach. His play calling on defense is a bit antiquated but at one time he was a good defensive coach.
The lead preacher is Easterby. Culley is the window dressing for image purposes only. He didn't get the job because of his resume - he's going to be cover for Cal, Caserio and Easterby. He's doomed to fail. Waiting to see if Watson buys into this scheme.
The Texans hired someone that no organization in the last 30 years thought "this guy should be a head coach". Or even "this guy should be an offensive/defensive coordinator". So there really are only 3 possibilities here: 1. This guy will make Deshaun happy and keep him here. If that's the case, nothing else matters and it's a win for the Texans. 2. The Texans are smarter than all the other 31 teams. 3. The Texans are dumber than all the other 31 teams. Which of those do we think is most likely?
He's 13 years younger than the president. One has to run a country the other just has to delegate and motivate, I think he'll be fine.
Forgot about that. Easterby needs a fall guy and it certainly isn't going to be his buddy Caserio. Hiring an inexperience HC makes him an easy target to lay the blame on.
AP - Joel Osteen is interviewing as special teams coach. Creflo Dollar is also in Houston meeting with Texans management about a possible front office job.
He may be a GREAT hire, but the whole process how this went down is just comically inept and laughable. Nope, I've been told many times by a certain person right here on this bbs that Easterby, if he still has a job, and isn't fired by the GM who he just hired, will have nothing to do with Football and GMs and Football and Coaches and Football and such.
Just because he has been tla complete failure as a passing game coordinator, QB coach & wide receiver coach, doesn't mean he'll fail as a head coach.
So it looks like his staff is a bunch of guys not currently employed by the NFL. So guys no other teams wanted.
