    Really?

Not visiting blue states is going to make for some pretty limited vacation opportunities. Forget seeing the Golden Gate Bridge or a show on Broadway but this year means that the Grand Canyon and Vegas is out too.

The legacy is the GOP thinks they can get away with anything now.

    And they’re right.

Here's his immediate legacy of incompetence in Texas...

Texas reached 1 million coronavirus cases 8 months into the pandemic. Two months later, the state has surpassed 2 million.
    Austin American-Statesman

Texas surpassed 2 million confirmed COVID-19 cases Wednesday, just two and a half months after reaching 1 million. The state also added 467 fatalities to the virus death toll on Wednesday, a record. Coronavirus testing has significantly ramped up across the state, but experts estimate the actual number of cases in Texas and across the country is likely much higher. Many cases go untested and unreported.

Ironic, since every other sneer I hear about California is how it's been "overrun".

This is his legacy, the new verson of 'patriot'

We wanted a reality show guy, we got a reality show. Truthful hyperbole: Trump quote:
“Good publicity is preferable to bad, but from a bottom-line perspective, bad publicity is sometimes better than no publicity at all. Controversy, in short, sells.”

He certainly held fast to that belief during the campaign. And it likely helped him.

“The final key to the way I promote is bravado. I play to people’s fantasies. People may not always think big themselves, but they can still get very excited by those who do. That’s why a little hyperbole never hurts. People want to believe that something is the biggest and the greatest and the most spectacular. I call it truthful hyperbole. It’s an innocent form of exaggeration—and a very effective form of promotion.”

We got Kim Kardashian leading criminal reform, I guess kanye west and lil pump for african american and urban lobbying.

And frankly it works, hes still the most popular and powerful on the right. The guy litearlly said he would vouch for anyone in alaska, even if they aren't conservative and a bad candidate-he saida this exactly, to go against mukowski soley because she didnt fall in line and adhere to him

This is worrying if its trump or its pelosi. These members are meant to represetn their particular constituents and districts. they also serve as a check and balance. Now these two polarized parties fall in line and its great for tv ratings, great for them to treat it like sports and demand loyalty on their side, bad for the american citizien and tax payer.

he was right, it was a swamp before, now its just a reality show. Both are terrible. I thought maybe he might have some benefit as a disruptor, in some ways he said the right things(China, wars, saudi before when he was running and the tune changed, like it does on so many things) but very unorganized and no direction in actions, just big on PR and demanding thanks and loyalty like a snowflake. Hes incredible resilient and in someways ironically the most sensitive person i have ever seen adn the most need for thanks and compliments that i've ever seen. Watch his covid meetisn with business, I have never seen anything like that outside of China and North Korea where you have to praise a president first.

What does that mean? America first. No. IT means trump first. Then principles be damned. He was supposed to be a 'conservative' fiscal responsible, less central control...he bastardized all of that and no one on the right cared. what does that lead to, they start cheering on behavior like this

sadly this response will probably...but but biden. Yea bidens history is terrible, I can not believe that guy is at hte top. He may believe that too after his last 2 runnings were embarassing. Both can be bad, one can be better in someways and all that, but it doesnt change teh criticism. just shows teh sports like culture where critisizing one side or both is offensive to the other side

^the playbook is out there for either side to use. None of the majors have gone to jail yet and the music is still playing in Washington

A younger, better looking Bernie would probably garner similar results.

We're one B list actor away from more Banana Republic shenanigans
