dont think he needs as much rest as he needs not forcing things and playing within the flow of the game... hes forcing it outthere like westbrook.. should perhaps let the game come to him as they say

Dipo's defense isnt as great as you believe.

He is very good man defender but he misses switches and has struggled recently defending PnR.

I really hope that Silas is smart enough to keep switch everything as his base and not go back to the shitty hybrid defense again.

Silas needs to stop F'ing with this defense. Keep playing what works, switch everything as base D.

Focus on fixing your abomination of an offense instead.

    No sense re-inventing the wheel.

    Use what works best.

Volume 3's too, keep doing that.

And forcing 15+ turnovers while not having more than 10.

Tone iso way down, unless its EGo, because no one else is very efficient playing this way.

    Oldies but goodies.

    EGo was +15.

    Wall was +11.

    House was +9.

    Tate was +8.

    Boogie was +6.

    Dipo was +4.

Nwaba is such good bench value, energy and impact.

PJ is only a +1 cuz the Rockets were up 17 and the rest of the players boosted his plus minus. If the Rox are playing against a good team and the they lose by double digits he'd be -20.

    You know like these games:

    https://www.espn.com/nba/boxscore?gameId=401267382
    https://www.espn.com/nba/boxscore?gameId=401267349

I'm not denying Tucker does little things like hustle, defense etc but we got rookies like Tate, Nwaba and Brown who do all that as well. They aren't as good as Tucker defensively but they do more offensively which more than makes up for it. Everything is in moderation putting up WB stye stats without doing the little things to win is just empty stat padding but on the flip side if you do all the little things but don't put up any raw stats on the board that's just as bad. Those rebounds, steals and points aren't gonna come to the Rox automatically someone has to get them for the team. In Rockets case unless the team can't miss having Mr. No Stats All Star there just puts them in a huge ass hole and lots of times losses were cuz they couldn't dig themselves out of it.

No one is calling for Tate's head because he also had 7 rebs and was aggressive even if his shots didn't go in. Tate had +8 which is 8x more than PJ Tucker lol. I'm a lot more confident Tate contributed to the win than PJ Tucker.

It's great that PJ is an iron man but if he is gonna play 20+ mins on the court and give me 0 pts and 3 rebs then you know what it's better for him to sit out and get some rest. Rockets 17 pt lead might have been 27 had Nwaba and Brown got some more PT instead of him.

NGL I've been more impressed with Nwaba than Tate. Tate has the highlight dunks but Nwaba has been more consistent in terms of effort, defense and getting efficient buckets.

Can we just give this group some time to play with before wanting someone to be traded? Wood, Dipo, and wall haven’t even played together yet.

Dipo and Wood were running the pick and roll extremely well before Wood’s injury, and so Dipo turned into more of an ISO guy tonight.

All three of them will have to figure out a way to make it work, but the way people have been flip flopping on this board is insane. Give the guys a chance. We aren’t in a hurry to make rash decisions on certain guys.

He’s learning a new defensive system... he isn’t the only one missing switches. I’m very encouraged that our strong offensive players are also more than capable on the defensive end. They said tonight Dipo just had his first practice with the team. He’s being thrown out there in games with literally 1 practice under his belt. Let the players learn the system.

I’m extremely happy with the defense on this team, the rebounding will have to get better, but that’s more of a height issue than hustle. Take Tucker for example in that one.

Naw I think switch defense hurts cousins. He should not be switched on guards. Hybrid is better in the long run.

I love nwaba. I call him the transition God. Man knows his roll. And doesn't do too much. Energy and transition guy.

Playing Cousins will be only time Rockets should play drop coverage.

Boogie really struggles defending PnR or iso.
