I don't think people should attack Trump's press secretary. Their job is to lie for trump

Most of her notoriety comes from her last name and her job "that's known for lying".

Some voters actually care about governors that haven't made lying a profession.

Lying? I guess she has the GOP nomination sewn up.

If you have any integrity you don't take the job or once compelled to lie you quit.

So she is supposed to refuse a cabinet position? What was she doing before that she should refuse? She now has an opportunity to run for governor.

    Governors can become Presidents

I'm sure I'm not telling you anything you don't already know, but looks like you might get the opportunity to vote the my pillow conspiracy guy for governor.

Because we’re raised to think that way. Doesn’t mean it’s right. Just means we’ve all been conditioned and don’t think critically.

Edit: Also, Southerners aren’t a monolith. There is some nuance to us.

So she sacrificed integrity for her career. Some people value their integrity more than money and fame.

I found most of Trump's press conferences ridiculous as most everyone here. The press conferences by him and the press releases by his press secretaries were sometimes a joke with the obviously lying.

In the past year with the Coronavirus press statements have been part of this administration's complete failure on the pandemic.

That being said as far as people not sacrificing integrity, the press secretary's job is promoting policy. It's already in a situation of trying to paint subjects in the best light. I'm not condoning lying but spinning is part of the job

True but even Scaramucci understood the BS he was peddling. For Huckabee Sanders and McEnany they've doubled down.

We will see much more crazy characters running for office. State level GOP party are crazier than nation level. Might as well call some of them the Q party.

Yep. There is going to be a very crowded Republican field to run against MN Gov. Tim Walz. Not just Lindell but also former Vikings Matt Birk and Chad Greenway are considering running. Lindell has a lot of attention but I don't think he is quite popular enough to win the MN GOP nomination but in a fractious field he might.

If he does get the nomination I would give Walz a good chance holding onto the governorship. While Walz has taken a hit over COVID-19 restrictions and also that MN is doing a poor job with vaccine distribution he is still more popular than any Republican challenger. Someone as divisive as Lindell will have a much harder time convincing suburban voters who voted against Trump to back him..

    FYI Twitter yesterday banned Lindell.

Of this I'm certain of. Trumpists have taken over much of the GOP and for much of the party they see little reason to moderate. Many of them believe that losses in recent elections are because they weren't extreme enough.

No... their job is to provide the American people a reporting of the President's words, programs, and positions. There is an assumption in that riole that the reporting is accurate. There is also an assumption that its honest. The last trump press secretary understood that role when she said in her very first press conference that she would never lie to the press (and by extension, to the American people). That was her first lie, followed by many others.

Yet I saw a Trumper making fun of the new Press Secretary on Facebook for saying she didn't know the answer to a question. It's amazing how they prefer fly off the cuff lies to someone stating facts and being honest.
