Isolations have dropped a little bit since Harden left, BUT going into tonight the top isolation teams in order... Rockets Blazers Lakers Nets Celtics Clippers Bucks Not a shabby list of teams Wall(7th), Wood(24th) and Gordon(40th) are top 40 in isolations per game.
Eric Gordon looks healthy. Monster game from him. Nwaba was awesome too even has a 3 point shot. Tate has potential but is a great defender and a glue guy. The weak link was Mclemore. He stopped the ball and simply can’t dribble but this might just be a learning curve for him. He was stuck in the Dantoni system and was limited. Shoot he hardly played to be honest. Mason and Sterling are looking like legit bench players that can carry the team. Impressive showing tonight.
Sorry if you are used to having Harden go Stevie Franchise ISO-dribble-dribble-with-everyone-standing-around-then-jack-it-up-with-1-second-on-the-shot-clock offense. I actually like team basketball and players who actually want to play the game. I have been wanting this type of play for a long time. I don't give a **** if this team ends up in the lottery. I'm buying what Stone and Silas are putting out there.
Love this team so much. I’m tempted to say let’s keep Gordon, Dipo, and Tucker past the trade deadline and go for it. But we’re in asset accumulation mode right now. I’m honestly happy with either choice.
Love harden...and have maintained my stance on this...the individual scoring nights were awesome to watch...but something about everyone touching the ball and looking engaged just makes it a lot more fun to watch.
You have to remember a big part of that is because some of the iso from harden earlier in the season...this will go down
