Makes sense. If they were going to waive him, this gets them something vs. hoping he gets picked up on waivers to avoid dead salary. Rockets would’ve presumably had good waiver position based on our crappy record, but this ensures we don’t miss out. I don’t mind it as a flier. I’d prefer to get someone about 6-5 next.
Rockets have a history taking on flyers on players having tons of upside but have problems, So far I dont think none of it turned out great lol
Stone is really impressing me. Bought low on an intriguing prospect with very high potential. If he can get his stuff together he will be a great asset to either trade down the line or be a key piece eventually
I'm still chuckling at this situation... can you imagine being shown your new locker in some out-of-the-way storage area? While the rest of your team dresses in the locker room? Epic. That night, however, he had a screaming match with team officials after his locker was moved to an auxiliary area to accommodate new teammate Taurean Prince, who arrived from the Brooklyn Nets with Jarrett Allen in a trade last week. After the episode, Porter was told to clean out his locker and other members of the roster were informed he'd no longer be on the team, sources said.
