You realize that DC is pretty big and if you made it for gov't building only - people would have issues with getting lunch, dinner, etc. The white house and capital buildings are actually a very small part of DC. 700K people live in DC - making it one of the largest cities in America and having more population than Wyoming or Vermont. It's basically an 11 x 6 mi rectangle - way too much space to just have gov't buildings.

The silent idiot alarm kind of tripped once I saw New York City on there. Maybe lay off the Taboola Outbrain links, Buddy Lembeck.

Heaven forbid they ever split Texas. I’ll be damned if I have to tell everyone I live in East Texas.

Wow I didn’t realize DC was that small tbh - 6 miles one way is literally nothing- 700,000 people, which puts it at 21st on the list of cities in the U.S. by population size. That's between El Paso, Texas, and Boston, Mass.- - I get DC needs representation but to me it would make more sense for Maryland to cover that

I was laying on a field of grass staring at the clouds when this critter moseyed up and offered to trade what he was smoking for my flag. Sounded like a good deal to me, so I took him up on it. Sort of lost track of what happened after that for about a week. Hope he made good use of it.

DC has more people than either Vermont or Wyoming.

When added , Puerto Rico would be about the 30th most populous state.

But DC shouldn't be that big. Most would become part of Maryland or Virginia.
