We don't. We just don't all buy into your conclusions and assumptions. By your logic, there are 25 teams going nowhere that should tank.
Compete during the game. You know. The thing you spend 3 hours watching and then argue online about? This team is going to compete every game. If it works out? Good. If it doesn't? Re-Evaluate on March 25. Optionality is key. Not everything is set in stone but for now the team is going to try to win as many games as possible. I'm not going to have anymore back and forth on this. It's what's happening. I'm not in the front office. i don't have a say in what they do. This is what they are doing. Here is your favorite pick #1! https://www.lineups.com/articles/number-1-overall-nba-draft-picks-list-all-time-history/ 2020: Anthony Edwards 2019: Zion Williamson 2018: Deandre Ayton 2017: Markelle Fultz 2016: Ben Simmons 2015: Karl-Anthony Towns 2014: Andrew Wiggins 2013: Anthony Bennett 2012: Anthony Davis 2011: Kyrie Irving 2010: John Wall 2009: Blake Griffin 2008: Derrick Rose 2007: Greg Oden 2006: Andrea Bargnani 2005: Andrew Bogut 2004: Dwight Howard 2003: LeBron James 2002: Yao Ming 2001: Kwame Brown Since 2001 we have 7 players who were never that 1A /1B guy or even close really (Brown, Bogut, Baargnani, Oden, Bennett, Wiggins, Fultz) and two guys won championships as the best player on their team (that's if you count LeBron as the second best to Davis last year). That's the #1 pick!
https://www.nba.com/news/top-15-players-under-age-25 The only exception here is Nikola Joikic, Bam and Booker who wasnt a high pick. And if you include the top 7 within the draft the argument becomes much more futile. If the Rockets organization was smart they would tank. I can show you many more 15h picks that didnt amount to anything. You are banking on very bad oods. I'll be done with this but I will say Im quite disappointed with you how you chose to come at me like this. You could have just talked like a normal person sheesh.
WOW this is pathetic...this almost proves tanking is worthless especially with the new loterry rules btw who is anthony edwards and which team he plays on?
lol even if you get one you are guaranteed nothing...we just had harden for 8 years and didnt win nothing.... OKC drafted 3 MVPs in a row and won ZERO RINGS Spoiler TAKE THAT FOR DATA Butler, pick no 30, almost won it alone last year were it not for the injury luck pick number is almost irrelevant
It’s a triple swap. OKC can swap with us unless we are top four and we can swap with Brooklyn. It will either be our own or OKC depending who is worse.
will you be willing to compare last years miami roster with current rockets roster? it was a pretty mediocre roster contending wise but they almost won it all... i mean no flashy superstar names no harden durant steph or lebron why couldnt houston do it this year then?
Jimmy Butler is a top 10 player in this league and Bam is like top 25. Duncan Robinson is one of the best shooters in this league and Tyler Herro is also a very good piece. They won.....but a lot of that is success they likely can't replicate again in the playoffs. Miami has done a great job. But there are many more examples of a Miami team plan failing than not.
