Collins is 8th in the league in defensive raptor at +5.6. His defensive issues seem overblown. In comparison, Bagley is 245th out of 250th at -5.3. He is the one that is the terrible defender.

Grab len, he can Screen and Finishing around The rim.

collins is a black hole on the Defensive end. Would not work with Wood

Len can’t finish around the rim at all. And no way he is much better defensively than Collins.

I’m going by my eye. It doesn’t seem like it would work with him next to Wood...defensively

Like a Jarrett Allen.. would be perfect

And yes I'm going to keep using this half-joke.

You could argue that we've needed a backup C since Nene went into the good night.

Once we shipped out Capela we then needed 2 C's. Wood still only gives us 50%. And that's not addressing the PF position.

Stone has a lot of work to do because of Morey's phobia of people over 6'9.

Yes John Collins is not as bad of a defender as everyone is claiming. Has room to grow too on offense and defense. He is worth a look if there is a reasonable way to obtain him so hopefully Stone is at least looking into his situation with Atlanta.

Morey has plenty of players over 6'9 with the 76ers.

And this is Stone's team now, the lack of 6'9 players is on him.

Stone brought in almost 3 times as many guys under 6'6 than he did over 6'6.

    Stone's 2020-2021 signings and acquisitions:

    6'10 Wood
    6'10 Cousins
    6'9 Kurucs

    6'4 Wall
    6'4 Oladipo
    6'4 Jones
    6'4 Tate
    6'5 Brown
    6'5 Brodric
    6'5 Exum
    6'6 KJ

Partially true. He would've been extremely hard pressed to bring in anyone decent with the hand he was dealt. Im happy with Wood for now, and indifferent to Cousins at the minimum even though I knew he was washed. Im hoping for once since Capela that the Rockets can try to find and develop some more bigs. No more Joey Dorseys, Chuck Hayes, and PJ Tuckers at the 4/5 unless its situational, lovable as they may be.

    That is BS.

Stone did not "accidently" restructure our entire roster.

He was purposeful. And if he was not then he should not be GM.

Stone had multiple bigs he could have signed over Brown, BT, Jones, Grant, KJ, etc.

    Serge Ibaka
    Mo Harkless
    Marc Gasol
    Jeff Green
    JAM Green
    Josh Jackson
    Harry Giles
    Nerlens Noel
    Noah Vonleh
    Bismack Biyombo
    Derrick Favors
    Keita Bates-Diop
    Tristan Thompson
    John Henson
    Chieck Diallo

All the above players were available. And many for around vet min.

    Dedomon is STILL available.

We need to send a combination of House, Tucker, and/or EGo to somone for a quality big(s). Though I am curious to what a cohesive Wall-Dipo-Tucker front 3 can do when they gel for our defense.

I don't think Silas is interested in playing a big that isn't at least an average 3pt shooter. Rather than looking for someone who is just tall we need someone who can rebound and hit 3s. I wonder if you could get Kevin Love for just Eric Gordon and a single 1st round pick?

    PG: Wall/Jones/Brown
    SG: Oladipo/McLemore
    SF: House/Tate/Nwaba
    PF: Love/Tucker
    C: Wood/Cousins

Love is perfect solution for a team that plays shitty inconsistent defense.

I think the sample size is a little small right now... give him some time to shape the team, see what he does with these picks. Also PJ and Gordon.

The only thing he's proven about this topic is that he's not afraid to sign someone like Tate. That doesn't mean he is going to seek out a team of Tates.
