The question is what happened to all the sane moderate Republicans? Their extinction is a truly sad event.

 

The battle for the hearts and minds of the 74 million Trump voters is going to be within the GOP. If anything it will dilute the power of both Trumpers and Romneyites.. The money is going to go to the moderates and Democrats because they can influence policy and legislation. Politically the radicals will be marginalized.They will become more vocal once disenfranchised, but a Biden DOJ will be all over them and in the court of public opinion they will be seen and dangerous and ridiculous. And, they have shown that they are not master criminals, though there probaly will be some Timothy McVeighs

I have been that for most of my life but as a NEVER TRUMPER I just couldn't do it.....where does the party go now? I mean the GOP embraced Bubba Evangelical and now they took over - that is a problem for conservatives everywhere.

How does the Moderate portion of the party that believes in small government and less govt spending get back what it has lost?

Just talked to my accountant of 20 years. . Still a Trump supporter. Nice guy, likes to keep up and talk politics. Says he, and he thinks almost all of the 74 million Trump voters, still think the election was stolen. Fact that Republican Secretaries of State and Republican appointed judges disagree means nothing: "just politicians and officials investigating themselves. " The storming of the Capitol was just some morons who had a demonstration and got carried away a bit. I do agree with him that it was crazy to think they were going to overthrow the government.

I note that in the past he has switched off Rush Limbaugh when I enter his office.

We have not seen the last of the Trumpists, nutty GOP'ers, conservative conspiracy freaks, proto fascists or whatever you want to call them.
