Snowden definitely deserves a pardon...I don't know about Assange.

Deserves isn’t the right word. He should be brought back to the US and a pardon should be worked out. But there’s no such thing as a free lunch. He’s got to then work with the government in a productive way and in a way that signals that the US gets it and is no longer encroaching on our freedoms.

Just pardoning him without a ceremonial putting to bed the issues at hand would be the wrong move.

He will pardon Assange because Assange is a key linchpin to the Putin connection.

He is still lurking, but @generalthade_03 is too gutless to pay his bets. It is clear that Trump did not garner 20% of the black vote.

As far as a free lunch goes, does this apply to war criminals Dubya, Cheney and some of the Wall Street Banksters?

I don’t get your point. Do I strike you as someone who doesn’t think W, Cheney, etc are war criminals? Kind of a weird response.

One thing to remember even if Trump does pardon someone doesn’t mean Congress still can’t investigate around the issues they were charged with. Also if they have a pardon that means they can’t claim the 5th when brought to testify in Congressional hearings.

You know there is some big-time payoff involved if he pardons her.

Really? Sorry, that seems like made up twitter logic. I'm sure someone said it, but I don't think that's credible. I'm referring to losing your 5th amendment rights.

You would think that anyone paying him for pardons would be illegal, but I bet over 70% of the pardons will be tied to Trump in one way or another. Whether a payoff now or later, Trump always uses his power to get something out of it for himself. Always has, always will. This is his golden ticket to use and abuse, just like he does with everything and anyone he comes in contact with.

This should be a reason to change the laws when it comes to pardons. They shouldn't be a tool to use for your own personal benefit, especially if that involves people who helped hide or assisted in any criminal activity the President was involved in, or being investigated for.
