I’ve noticed an influx of harden being this great player now that’s unselfish, has 2020 court vision, was even called a top 5 SG of all time (and not no.5)from fans and the media. It’s comical how the rest of the basketball world now paints this dude in a different light since he bailed from the H. These fools now accept what we always knew as a reality during the reg season. Just others thoughts on this.

people were acting shocked that Harden could actually facilitate and be unselfish like he didn’t lead the league in assists just a few years ago and isn’t 1 of the best passers in this league

all those fouls he draws will start getting called savvy, vet moves instead of flops

just going to keep reminding myself that Harden deserves the praise and adulation he is receiving from the media after all the hate he received as a Rocket, because it is already annoying the hell out of me. Harden finally being appreciated and we Rockets fans are being left out in the cold after years of defending him. welp.

Ask yourself this: why would the media particularly hate Houston, one of the biggest markets in America for no reason? The answer is: they don't. It's just easier to play the victim.

It’s because New York and Los Angeles are the largest media markets
And the goal for the biggest ratings is LeBron, KD, Harden and Kyrie in the finals

this story is easier to figure out than a fast and furious movie plot

    Lol facts.

lofty expectations in a big market - if they don’t win this praise allll goes away and the one person with the most pressure to win, will catch the most heat since he’s never won (whereas KD and Kyrie have)

The goal for everything on TV, comedy, sports, news, etc

    is Ratings
    Ratings=Money

Nobody cares about empty arenas, that's not where the majority of the $$$$ is coming from.
That's why the NBA got scared by the Morey tweet.

Saw this very thing on The Jump a few days ago.
After spending months castigating and ridiculing Harden, on the very first show after the trade they spent nearly 15 straight minutes slurping and massaging his rep.
It was almost comical how quickly they flipped.

Thought I was the only one who noticed the hilarious shift in narrative.
    It is what it is.

    Go Rox!

We'll see how it goes, but the total shift from the Northeast media will be fun to track. Called it before he was traded, once they realize how good he actually is (i.e. they watch him play full games) all the narratives will change.

He'll want to get back to the media's good graces.

    NY media is unforgiving.

Eh its fine, when playoffs come it won't be Harden or Kyrie leading the team. It'll come down to Nash and Durant. He'll start missing shots and screaming for foul calls in typical fashion.

Give NY some time to celebrate their new hero, they've been slumming it ever since they made that God awful trade for Pierce/KG. And then you have Dolan who is even worse than Tillman as an owner destroying the Knicks too...

Harden gave up on this team, even when we tried to give him every shot and traded for a better supporting cast. It's didn't fall on us to be loyal, that was all on him. When things get hard, its when you really see someone's true colors.
