Kevin durant of all people letting harden run the offense but rockets wanted the ball in john walls hands
I watched the first half. I didn’t see anything different form Harden other than (I) he was trying and (2) he had KD next to him. they barely beat a Magic team that is horrible. they’re good and will be good and can make and win the Finals... but it wasn’t exactly exciting to watch to me. I still saw a lot of standing around. Not as much - mind you he’s trying now lol. but it’s still a style of ball only worth watching if you’re going to win it all imo.
imagine if the OKC traded the right guy 9 years ago, and the rockets wound up building around westbrook for 9 years. *shudders*
Fat? Can't play? Ya... naw.. By mid season he'll be MVP runner all over again while we are here hoping to get the best draft pick available. Let the process begin!
Both Westbrook and Harden are deeply flawed players. They have different strengths and different weaknesses. I'm just saying the results would've been the same anyways
Houston literally (And foolishly by Morey) tailor built a team around him to stat pad. Year after year we saw Harden get overwhelmed when it got tougher in the playoffs.
Not really. I just know you Harden only fans hate the truth. Losing Francis and Mobley hurt. They entertained us for so long and deserved to try to contend with Yao instead of broke down Tmac.
their broke down asses cant even play back to back and harden is out here suited up 3 days after getting traded
I think that’s inaccurate. I think many fans didn’t feel like a Harden led team would ever get over the hump so instead of spin our wheels might as well start over and see if we can re-roll and get something better going. Lots of franchises do it when they feel they’ve maxed out current talent level. But none of that even matters because unlike okc that decided the Westbrook era was over, Harden decided the Houston era was over. So no matter what fans wanted, Harden decided to quit and pack it up to get moved elsewhere. But the scrappy vs. good argument is a false narrative anyways. I’d love a team and culture like Miami currently has. They are scrappy AND Good. And I think many would have overlooked many of Harden’s flaws and if he at least had gotten to the finals one time let alone win a ring. But truthfully I think Harden realized what many fans realized...He would have a much better chance at a ring if he was a #2 or 1B.
