of course it's a proper comparison. did you even bother to look at the actual question. the breakup was much worse than what harden did here. AI was sent home bc the relationship was so bad. he pouted for a long time, fined for missing team meetings, refused to play for the coach. then he was traded to denver. know your history first before telling someone whether its a proper comparison or not

he never really had his love affair with the city. lol is that why harden always had his yearly functions for the city. We're ignoring things like JH weekend which hes had for years here and that he hasn't given back to houston in his tenure here. some of yall are laughably pathetic with how 8 years gets erased in the blink of an eye.

Is Harden hands down the 2nd greatest Rocket? I'm for retiring the jersey later, just wondering about Malone. Is there a case for Moses? 6 years, 2 MVPs, 1 finals, averaged 24 and 15. He's like the reverse Clyde - he starred in Houston, couldn't get over the hump, then won a championship with the next team.

Clyde's is retired in both places. So is Moses's. If Harden goes on to win the chip in Brooklyn, he may get two ceremonies too.

Malone and Elvin Hayes. Clyde made 2 Finals in Portland. Its hard to argue against him. He has an argument over Hakeem as second best behind Jordan when Jordan was winning until Hakeem's first ring.

Harden's individual offensive statistics are umber one over even Hakeem. Clyde and Hakeem are clearly better athletes and defensively Harden isnt a factor in games. It matters

Hayes's career with Houston was way past his prime. I was thinking of accomplishments while on the Rockets. Because overall, yes, Malone is more accomplished than Harden.

    Is Tmac's number retired?

    No.

I suspect as time goes by, Harden has a better than 50/50 shot at getting it retired.

Did Drexler demand a trade and leave on bad terms?

Thats not what my question was so no its not applicable replying to my posts. Many jerseys are retired without winning championships.

What does T-Mac have to do with Harden? That's like comparing Ralph Sampson to Dream.

It’s still an example. Forced the move. Didn’t win a ring. Jersey retired. Next

Yes, as a matter of fact he did. In time Harden departure will some of it's sting. He got a MVP with us. The only other is Bill Warell; he needs to hang next to CD.

Harden was completely unprofessional about wanting to exit the Rockets this season but that still does not take away from the fact that Harden lead the Rockets to playoffs every season and also became an all-time Rockets stats leader in certain categories. That is enough to retire his jersey if and when the time comes. Ego should not be the reason to take away from what he deserves.
