Yes, I would have had a problem with him demanding the coach be fired. I don't support players making "demands" like that even when they are the right thing to do. I would have supported him talking to management about it behind the scenes and letting them know his feelings that way.

There's a right way to do things, and there's active sabotage. Watson, and Harden before him, went with active sabotage.....and fans of those players supported them over the teams. Those are the kind of fans you hope to lose.

The whole team wants Easterby out because his influence on important decisions turned a potential Super Bowl team into the laughing stock of the NFL. He's trying to stop Easterby from sabotaging the team.

Somebody needs to post this to his twitter account. That seems to be the only thing he’s responded to over the last 2 weeks... isn’t he supposed to be the face of the front office right now?

He's doing so by actively sabotaging the team himself....smart.

At this point I don't know why Easterby just doesn't step down. If Watson is traded both McNair and Easterby would never be able to show their faces in Houston again. The vitriolic hate they will receive would be biblical.

people waking up to this ownership ..kinda...

BUT chasing the scapegoat du jour only deflects from mcnair.

mcnair needs a scapegoat and I could see him riding that train as far as he can watson gone or not. Mcnair care more about a scapegoat then winning.

Mcnair learned from daddy - you have your owner ..then you have your scapegoat right there. That's what rick smith was standing there on sidelines with mcnairs

that heat guy to take it all. I believe it's part of the agreement.
The town always has their person that scapegoat to insulate mcnair ownership..
    Easterby in the batters box
    Before it was obrien
    Before that gaine
Before that godsey isn't calling plays anymore
    Before that rick smith
    Before that kubiak
Before that it doesn't matter these are just the one on top of head.

Pretty good 18 year bamboozle by ownership this easterby one hasn't gotten much mileage though.
If can keep watson and fan interest this easterby gets to take all the heat. Chances are if you were chaplain you would do the same and offer it up.

The part that is truly sad is have a an excellent good qb..nicest guy...winner and you are punting again. Any moment always too big.

his team has been play not to lose .and try to be cute and smart
..and guys like merciless, brennan scarlett. They think they are so slick and now if can parade a shiney toy in distraction like caserio they will..

If it gets too hot then on to the next whipping boy. Cal successfully got all you hot over a dude that barely even works there possibly in this easterby . Cal loving that distraction and insulation...praying right now with easterby as we speak thanks for taking the heat..once get a coach dumb fans will all follow the laser pointer like suckers .all tiimed with season ticket sales.

Sell out every game and raise parking /ticket prices is the only super bowl they care about

    NUCLEAR WINTER

No experience in the game of football making key decisions like who our GM is based on who his closest buddy is that will keep him in power all because he whispers Jesus stories into Cal Mcnair and Cal thinks that's neat enough to for him to have immense input in football operations. He also is known to be a moral cop in the organization who was the one who turned the organization against Hopkins because he had more than one mother of his children. He's trying to instil Christan moral values on the team which I'm pretty sure many non-Christians on the team aren't really fond of. Basically all the decision making at the top isn't based on football but rather grifting and struggles for power.

    It's absurd at this point.

It's been absurd at many points. This is from last October, regarding Easterby's duties with the team:

Easterby is expected to be a key figure in guiding the organization through this transition. He has operated in a versatile Texans role that has included negotiating contract extensions for Pro Bowl quarterback Deshaun Watson (four years, $156 million), Pro Bowl offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil (three years, $66 million) and inside linebacker Zach Cunningham (four years, $58 million), as well as assisting the coaching staff and scouting, medical and analytics departments.
