You seem to be purposefully misunderstanding everyone's point. It doesn't matter that we don't know the cap. ALL TEAMS USE THE SAME CAP. If the Texans have way more contract dollars committed in 2023 and 2024 than the majority of other teams, then regardless of where the cap is they will have less cap room than all those teams, putting them at a disadvantage. Can you not see that?
On TT's livestream just now Patrick Storm confirmed that it is Whitney Mercilus talking about retiring, Nothing set in stone he says, and nothing official. But he has been telling people it is a very real possibility
He has made over 50 mill as of right now. He seems like a smart guy who has probably invested his money well and he has other interests outside of football. At this point his health is probably worth more to him than money...
Whitney should ask and should receive a nice little "severance" package from the Texans. Benefits both sides.
With the news this morning it’s inevitable Watson is gone smdh. Get on phone with jags - 1st pick Jets - darnold 2nd pick ( Sewell / Smith ) Dolphins - Tua (don’t like him( Sewell smith)
The news people are referring to is the absolutely damning article posted smack dab on the front page of SI about this whole texans and easterby debacle.
if not EB I think Jim Caldwell from the reports. At this point I don’t care who they hire for HC as long as DW4 agrees. If he leaves might as well move the franchise.
I guess this is what we get for all the years of claiming the Texans had no identity and were “vanilla”. they strive to now do gods work... and be gods football team. Next thing you know they will petition to have all their games on Saturday’s.
