https://247sports.com/Article/Desha...-Easterby-frustration-Nick-Caserio-159375126/ Mort: Oh boy, Houston, you still have a problem. We talked about Deshaun Watson last week and his unhappiness with Cal McNair. Friday, Cal McNair issued an apology, said he’s texted with Deshaun Watson but sources close to Watson say this is bigger than firing Jack Easterby. He says unless Cal can fire himself, Watson is not about to change his mind and wants nothing to do with the Texans going forward. Schefter: Last Sunday, I tweeted out “If his anger level was a 2 [when they traded DeAndre Hopkins], this time it’s a 10” and sure enough, what did Watson tweet yesterday? “I was on 2 then I took it to 10.” validating what everyone thinks and knows: he is one unhappy camper and he has no plans to be with the Texans anytime soon, if ever. The issue with Deshaun is that they went to him to ask his input to what they should do going forward. He didn’t go to them, they went to him. They asked his opinion and then they ignored his opinion. Deshaun is not very happy about it right now.
Cal is probably seeing this as 'fake news' and doesn't know nor understand that this is real. I still think that in any other organization, they would be able to get Deshaun away from the ledge. But the Mcnairs don't even want to bother.
Cal has to understand DW's issues aren't going to resolve themselves and this situation has to have potential HCs wondering whether they want to try and join this sh** show.
You can get rid of bad players. You can get rid of bad coaches. You can get rid of a bad front office. But you can't get rid of a bad owner.
Did mort and schefter not see that his tweet was a future song lyric? He followed up with a subsequent tweet. Do your homework
It was a song lyric. Deshaun is deeper than just posting song lyrics. It was a message. He wants out. People in the building know he wants out. It's a matter of when not if Deshaun asks for a trade at this point. McNair drew a line in the sand with Easterby on his side. Its officially over for Deshaun in Houston.
Watson was the only reason to tune in and watch this garbage ass squad every Sunday I’m surprised his anger level was only at a 2 after the Hopkins trade. I still have no words for that one that trade left me stunned, but once Watson is gone...
Well line up the suitors and take the best offer i guess... Can't really be mad at Watson. Ever since Bob McNair died this franchise has really struggled in the leadership department.
Its like the Texans have no professional PR person or somebody who can handle the media hit pieces... oh wait, they fired her.
