From a logical standpoint, do you guys really believe Herro would be available for Dipo, or even Dipo + Tucker? I sure as hell don't. Even if we throw in one of the FRPs they have acquired.
I think Oladipo is a better player in 2021 than Tyler Herro and I don't think it's close. The offense is a wash and the defense is clearly in favor of Victor. The Heat want to win in 2021 not in 2024. Do I think the Heat would trade him? Honestly no. Do I think the Rockets want to trade Dipo? no. I do not.
It would be really strange if this team believed Dipo was their "young cornerstone". In fact, I'd be getting Knick vibes if it weren't for all those damn picks we received.
He is an expiring contract. Oladipo is NOT what we traded Harden for. 4 picks 4 swaps Max cap space immediately We paid a 2nd rounder to swap LeVert for Oladipo so we have an expiring. If we manage to flip Oladipo before he expires for future assets - kudos to Stone!
It's what I was told. Not that he was a young cornerstone but that he was a top tier talent still. I don't see it but the team clearly does. This trade was basically a combination of the Spurs trade for Kawhi and the Nets trade for Pierce and KG.

You are right. Rockets cannot dump a salary like Clemons in Dipo trade but can take multiple players back.
I'm not sure how any of this works. I imagine he's being given a physical by the Pacers and not the Rockets but who knows.
