I said he was borderline sociopath manic and felt that way for some time. Just listen to his sons and how they talk. These people can be productive in society but when things don’t go their way I underestimated how Trump would handle things and counter Democrat tactics which also was based on his political novice status . That says it all indeed to clarify

First off I would never support a dictator. Also by saying he was a political novice meant he didn’t do the right things for the country. You didn’t recite my exact wording where I said as President it is a service position. I made that clear on numerous postings . There is a obligation is to protect people regardless of political inclinations ..he didn’t protect people. I’m not waffling or deflecting. I’m being crystal clear and right now I’m far from a Trump supporter so get that corrected. Thank you

Had one blame the left for inciting everything that lead up to the Capitol storming. She says the left is essentially at fault for riling the right up.

    This was this morning.

    It's called "Mind Control".

Or, "Brain Control" if you rather...which is supposed to be better.

TRUMP CAN DO EITHER METHOD OF CONTROL IN EITHER ORDER OR SIMULTANEOUSLY...MIND/BRAIN OR BRAIN/MIND CONTROL.

Yeah here it is. It's just no longer a question anymore about how we are moving more and more towards a two party system of those who support Democracy vs those who believe in strong man authoritarianism.

I suspect FoxNews will start grooming the next leader or Trump they will propped up again and will bill this person as "strong". If you word cloud what you are going to hear from the right wing propaganda sphere over the next 3 1/2 years I will put 100 dollars down right now that "STRONG" will be at front and center of that word cloud.

The moderate Republicans like Romney, Murkowski, etc. need to recognize this is coming at them fast, and quickly organize to exercise power to stabilize our Democracy. If they break off from the Republican party mid-term, and offer swing votes as independents, that would be very very smart. They will get nowhere fast in this new Authoritarian party that has been groomed and will be coming full force for 22 & 24.

75% of them are only going to believe what they hear on FOX.

I said earlier that my East Texas trumper friends went silent on Trump but were going bonkers in support of Ghomert. I never commented in a Facebook political thread but I felt like I should keep interjecting truth into their discussion. 100 posts later it became obvious they were still clueless and hopeless.

I've heard that the Left is to blame because they not only didn't hold rioters to account this summer but encouraged it so the people attacking believed this was normal and they could get away with it..

Many, many, many people were saying that Trump would act like this back in 2016. Trump himself in 2016 said that if he lost that election it would be rigged and even though he won it he still claimed fraud in that he didn't win the popular vote.

I understand you supported Trump because he won the Republican nomination and you disagree politically with Democrats. Trump's problems are far more than just partisan division or inexperience as President.

I should have made this a poll, but yeah....this is kind of what i expected. Very few minds have changed.

On one hand, I feel a little better knowing I'm not alone in my never-ending frustration in having family members - who I love very much - be so brainwashed that a freakin' COUP ATTEMPT didn't change their thinking one iota. But on the other hand, it's pretty damn depressing.

Read an article that showed the Republicans who voted for impeachment are facing tanking approval ratings locally.

    The Dark Side is deep.

This is NOT the time for unity. It's time to confront the poison before another rebellion is successful.

I can only imagine. I am so happy that my immediate family (wife, brothers, sisters, their spouses) are on the same page. It would be incredibly stressful (on top of the other stresses of the last 4 years) if this wasn't the case.

it prob wont matter what the actual statistics are since abortion people usually have blinders on and look at everything as a zero sum game but take this for what its worth.

    https://apnews.com/article/7e45fe6f70cf45f1823a45ef9ad2187c

The number and rate of abortions across the United States have plunged to their lowest levels since the procedure became legal nationwide in 1973, according to new figures released Wednesday.
