Well during the the storming of the Capitol building you had trump and Rudy calling up senators trying to over turn the elections. Had Trump tweeting about it is the left’s fault that that this was happening and the election was stolen. Other than that we have no clue what trump’s intent was

Whether they knew it was thoroughly adjudicated or not they knew that the election had been certified and Trump
had lost in court. They knew enough that they felt that they needed to act violently in order to overturn the election as there were no legal means to reverse it.

Whether they believed the election was conducted fairly or if they believed it was morally justified they still chose to use violence because they weren’t willing to follow legal and peaceful options.

Trying to overturn the Constitutional functions of our government through non legal means is sedition. We don’t need to know what exactly is in their minds when their actions are directly about overturning a legal election.

I’ve been saying this for awhile. What we’ve seen coming out of Trump and his supporters is really the parent at youth sport. Their kid loses and the parent flips out that the refs, league, and coaches are unfair to their child and there is no way their child can lose because they are so special. We’ve seen parents attack refs, coaches, other parents and even other children because they can’t accept that their kid lost.

This is that writ large and magnified..
