"Washington Man Indicted For Allegedly Stealing Police Rifle During Riot In Seattle":

    https://jonathanturley.org/2020/09/...stealing-police-rifle-during-riot-in-seattle/

    excerpt:

One heartbreaking part of the indictment details Little’s parents being confronted with the evidence against their son:

“Also on July 20, 2020, LITTLE’s parents went to the EPD North Precinct and spoke with investigators. Investigators showed LITTLE’s parents photographs of the suspect taken on May 30, 2020. Investigators asked them what they saw in the photos. LITTLE’s parents were initially quiet. S.L. then began crying and at one point pointed at the photographs and said “That is not the son I raised.” Detective Magan interpreted this to mean that S.L. recognized the person in the video as LITTLE and that she was disappointed to see him engaging in such actions. When investigators again asked what they saw in the photos, S.L. said she saw Jacob holding something. Detective Magan released LITTLE, who departed from the precinct with his parents.”

Possession of a stolen firearm is punishable by up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

Here is the complaint: Little Indictment

Because the city with 20 billionaires wanted to use public money to make them more money?

After failed efforts to persuade Washington state government officials to provide $220 million in public funding to update KeyArena,

After failing to persuade local governments to pay for a new $500 million arena complex,

Howard Schultz was named the 680th-richest person in the U.S. in April 2020 by Forbes with a net worth of $4.0 billion. In 2019, Schultz was listed as the 145th-richest person in the country.

So that $500 million was was about 12.5% of his net worth.

I don't particularly like the idea of tax payers subsidizing pro sports teams area's .... but ask yourself one question.

Why would those billionaires spend hundreds of millions of their own dollars on a sports complex in Seattle when some other local will foot the bill ?

Well you might think that being from Seattle, buying a team from Seattle with a long history of loyal fans it might have more sentimental value than money. And really, if you are worth $4 billion why would another $500 million mean anything to you? It's just more money, it's not the love of your hometown family and friends, the ones that were there and probably helped when you made your $4 bill, human attachment, loyalty, love. Things psychopaths don't desire I guess.
