Wood is not a PF anyway, he can't shoot well. Even AD is a questionable shooter, but he's good enough to keep you honest, and an all-time great at everything else so teams are willing to compromise in his case and put him at PF.

I'd argue that NBA team owners have an obligation to put the best product possible on the court.

My personal finances come with no such public obligations (and we're all the better for that).

Again, to people saying it makes sense, Tilman = Stone could’ve pushed for a team to take on Gordon so they could dodge the tax and keep Allen.

Allen always looks like he is tired on the court to me.

You don't keep him and risk going into luxury tax hard cap territory to be the 8th seed at best you get picks and with multiple first rounders its a lot easier to potentially trade them to move up in any given draft.

The idea is to hit on one of these picks for a potential franchise building player then you have a chance to pair them with a free agent looking to team up and that can set you up for 5 yrs or more championship window if you do it right.

If Tilman could trade Eric Gordon for Zion there are people on here who would spin it as Tilman just trying to save money.

you keep him bc hes 22 with a opportune chance to break out. which then allows you to trade him if you want for something better than the bucks pick. his current salary is rookie scale. You just got a supermax off your books. a rookie scale $3 mil salary isn't killing you

Would've certainly made up for the loss of talent from trading Capela for inevitably nothing, better player too.

And overall defense, which is a huge Rockets issue right now.

Same reason Tilly did not want Prince.

Appeals to authority aren't great regardless, but how did you feel about trading Roco to the Blazers and Westbrook for Wall to evaluate this claim?
