Let's hope he uses the boat to lure/wine/dine/convince etc free agents and talented people that will help us win. Otherwise... as a Rockets fan... who cares. As a Rockets fan spend your luxury money on something incredibly luxurious: winning.

We’ve been so wrong calling Fertitta the new James Dolan, he’s the new Donald Sterling. Casinos and terrible chain restaurants instead of being a slum lord. Vile in personality and demeanor. Likely intends to sit the Rockets for years at the salary minimum and collect Luxury tax payments. Only difference is he’s a little younger so smart enough not to say the N word on camera.

    Bingo.

The hate should be directed at the douchebag of an owner.

Instead, gullible Rockets fan directing it towards Harden.

Harden isnt the only person who wanted out of Rockets with Tilman at helm.

Morey and Mike bailed before he did.

If he's so broke, why not sell it?

It's not the easiest thing in the world to sell a $150 million dollar yacht. There's a few luxury ones on the market already looking for buyers. The fact is there isn't a large pool of buyers and within that small pool the ones who want a yacht bad enough to spend $100's of millions of dollars would rather just commission a new one customized exactly for them rather than buy one customized for someone else.

Case in point, we already know Fertitta is cheap and wants his savings.. and yet he still chose to commission a new yacht customized for him rather then pay 30 million or so less.

Rockets fans don't owe Tilman money they spend going to the game, buying apparel, or watching the team either.

You clearly didn’t read the story. They started building it in 2016...so he had a purchase order in BEFORE buying the Rockets even.

I don't give a **** if he bought it in 2016 or 2026. The point still stands. He is leveraged out of his ass, and he bought the Rockets knowing he had a $150,000,000 obligation for a boat, and he let his employees be furloughed so the tax payers have to support them, and he cries poverty about his businesses while he has a $150,000,000 yacht. He is greedy, he is not Christian and he is incredibly selfish. He is a lot of what the problem in Western society is. He is leveraged well over his head, and yet he has a $150,000,000 yacht because his last yacht just wasn't good enough...... pay your employees, don't complain you will be judged taking government bailouts and have some degree or empathy.......

Tilman isn't cheap when it is something that he wants, but it has to be his idea.

It's important not to confuse his old Caribbean super yacht with his new Mediterranean super yacht.

You are damn right...... and there is no COVID on the open seas... and the best part is trading Harden paid for 2/3rds of that yacht.

That money has likely been 'sunk' for a long time. Like even before he bought the team and before COVID.

Also, what kind of propulsion does this bad boy have? I'm a Navy engineer and I'm a nerd for this stuff.

    Really is endgame capitalism.

The people are actively ruining the fun profitable distractions we have while they buy the country.

He's probably a raging narcissist which is the reason he bought the Rockets in the first place.
