Agreed. That would be uncomfortable, he's very lean. Would be pointy elbows all night.

see...that to me is the difference between Lavert and Oladipo. Oladipo has carried a team. Lavert wasn’t even starting.

If you are Denver and need a defensive wing to
play next to Murray, aren’t you looking at Oladipo?

Or if you are Philly/Miami and Beal isn’t available...

Just think he’s worth something to a competing team.

Lol don’t worry about Texanasiafan, he’s just cranky. He literally got upset at me for calling Zhou Qi “Joe Chee” a while back because as an Asian I should “know better” or something.

I’m sure he’s a cool guy in real life though. Maybe.

at this point he seems like damaged goods. he hasn't looked nearly as good as his all star season since his injury.

This season has been fine but yeah he hasn't been the same since that last big injury.

I think the problem in finding a suitor for him in March is that Oladipo wants to get paid. And no one will be lining up to pay a 30 year old with injury history who has no chance of being an All Star going forward.

If we were to miraculously get Beal via a trade, I would not be opposed to trading Wall, but not for picks or in a full rebuild. It would take 3-4 years minimum to get back to being respectable and Beal is already 27yrs old. It would be a waste of talent to hold him hostage for his most productive years!

If we get Beal and trade Wall I want NBA ready talent to fully appreciate getting Beal/Wood, if not we should go full rebuild with picks.

To be honest, I’m feeling depressed after today’s trade of Harden, so rational thinking might not not be in my wheelhouse right now.... I digress.

With Beal-Wood, we could do both with a Wall trade.

as long as dipo plays like how he has started the year or better, he'll have plenty of value if the rockets do indeed decide to move him before just letting his contract come off the books. The bucks didn't think twice about making the move for a 30 year old holiday knowing hes up for a new deal and has missed his own fair amount of games with injuries

And Dipo is a 2 way former All Star player.

His value is better I agree, but he is also ball dominant.

This pick is probably not all that different in value from 1st rounder we got from the Cavs. If it’s the Rockets’ pick, we’ve got no cap space, and probably nothing from Oladipo. It’s a high 2nd rounder. About the same as a bottom 5 first rounder.

Yes he'll have value. I expect him to be traded for expiring deals and picks at the deadline. Maybe a young player if we are lucky.

I still can’t believe harden got his way. Such bs. I mean the picks are a haul and I get Morey being apprehensive but dude mailed it in and ends up on his super team.

Rockets got a gimpy Dante Exum instead of Larry Nance or even Taurean Prince.

Typical FUBAR by this Rockets FO.

And Cavs are too loaded in front court bigs with Drummond, Allen, Love, Nance, Prince, Osman.

Exum is on his last year of the contract, while Prince and Nance aren't. FO isn't looking at taking on contracts it seems.

    NBA is a superstar league.

Ownership was way too optimistic about Harden staying this offseason though.

Dipo, Wall, Nwaba, Boogie are all coming off serious injuries.

And Exum is not even available to play due to injury.

    This strategy is highly suspect.

Both Nance and Prince are in Wood's age range and would provide the length and defense we have all clamored for.

Getting picks and expiring contracts. Hopefully turn Dipo into something else.

Strategy of not trying to win? I think you are clamoring for something different than ownership.
