If they dont win a chip they lost the trade and will be screwed for years. Given that Harden disapears in the playoffs and Kyrie is a petty child it may not work. Nothing is set in stone. The Nets with Durant have been a .500 team and are not lighting the league on fire like people expected. After the first game I though they had it on lock. so you never know.

I think this information is important in all of this

James Harden hired Jason Ranne and Chafie Fields from Wasserman to secure a trade for him. They worked closely with the Rockets and all teams involved to secure the deal. Wasserman also represented Russell Westbrook and worked closely with the Rockets on his trade to Wizards. https://t.co/4LG0hC5wmz
— Ramona Shelburne (@ramonashelburne) January 13, 2021

As a Rox fan I'm glad the organization is moving on. Harden staying here was going to be more toxic for the team. I'm hoping moving forward through some good fortunes the team can get back on track and eventually contend with a great player AND leader as their next franchise player.

Very possible both teams win the trade.

Nets win a championship or 2 but these guys start to get older and just become decent. We hold their picks for near a decade, there is going to be a post-Durant era for that team.

Picks are trash. You have what, a 10% chance of landing a player as good as Simmons with one?

1. Player hands pick coach
2. Player decides coach isn't good enough
3. Player blames organization for not building a team around him.
We all know that's what happens anyway. Most of these players should stick to playing games and not playing GM.

What's the likelihood of Irving being dealt soon?

Hell yeah. Simmons can’t even be the second best player on a Championship team. He makes $35 mil a year for the next 4 years and can’t shoot a basketball.

Watch harden lose weight and go back to the Mohawk LOL....

...they still won’t win a chip. Sit back and watch them fail to meet these lofty expectations.

....Kyrie may be the biggest headache - either he hates the harden move, hates his name was in trade talks, or hates the lack of control with mgmt - this will be good,

Lol Harden averages 30 plus in playoffs and always loses to eventual champion and he disappears. Now that he's in Brooklyn he will get his superstar calls back in playoffs and destroy the league.

Listen lets be honest Harden fades in playoff games. He's gone now lets just be ****in honest ok. Im tired of the never ending defense of this guy even when its plain criticism of what actually happened ok. He fades. He does not play the way he plays in the regualr season, that is a fact. his points and efficiency drop in the playoffs. He even did it with the Thunder. He'll have a good series then fade.

Has these players post season failures overshadowed them?

Iverson
Dame
CP3
Steve Nash
Westbrook
Etc.

It's amazing how this narrative has held.

You never hear a peep about why didn't Curry will his team to the win over the Raptors but Harden going against 3/4 all stars is failing.
