I'm about 400% positive a team didn't go, "oh James actually didn't play very well in these last few games, so actually you know what no we'll take a couple of draft picks off the table because he's clearly past his prime"

I think most people would agree with you lol.

Problem is - I don't think Boston was ever trading Brown, Denver Murray, Miami Bam for Harden. Maybe MIA would've traded Herro or Den MPJ...
Many Harden fans don't want to admit it, but the interest around the league for Harden was simply a lot lower than their evaluations of his worth.

There are legitimate and real concerns about his personality and fit on other teams. He dominates the ball averaging 9 minutes per game for the past 4-5 years (ever since MDA). For perspective, thats over 50% more than what Lebron, Durant, Curry and Kawhi average in the same span.

I'm aware James has a tendency to not show up for games his team absolutely needs in the playoffs and Kyrie hasn't played a full season in his career and Durant blew a 3-1 lead to the Warriors, yes.

So, I'm not so sure about writing a Nets finals appearance in stone quite yet and if they don't make the Finals these next two seasons it's not inconceivable that Durant bails on them....he signed a short term contract with PO for a reason after all.

Not that I wish anything bad upon anyone, but could you imagine Kyrie boycotting the season and both KD and Harden having some nagging injuries which make them miss a lot of games...and the Nets missing the playoffs...and winning the lottery...I would laugh my ass off.

Honestly pretty hopeful. This Nets team is awful defensively. They aint beating the Lakers. They wont even make it to the Finals IMO. Wont be long until inner turmoil or injuries benefit us via picks. Kyrie and Harden together. Yikes.

prob not... but they knew the Rox had no leverage... and Blames was forcing them to do something sooner rather than later... plus you dont think that based on recent events and Blames spouting off that a least a few teams were too gunshy to jump into the mix?

Sucks. Late first rounders at the best. We will be worse than the nets for a while so the swaps are waste.

That's literally how the Celtics ended up with their young elite core. History can repeat itself. The Nets making the same exact mistake twice in 2 decades would be hilarious.

The resident morons on clutch fans are in full celebration. First we traded our defensive linchpin for a tall center that can jump high, and now we’ve traded our best player for a bunch of picks that won’t produce anything for at least 4 years.

Somebody want to tell me we got more from the Cavs than a **** pick and Exum for 2 potential starters?

At this point as a Rockets fan it makes more sense to watch and follow BKN than our own team.

Deserve a lot of kudos for this @treyk3

    I’m glad it’s finally done.

All things come to an end.

Watching Harden for me was a thing of beauty. How many times were we in awe of his performances? Many.

2018 should have given us a title, but things happen.

I’m not mad at you, James. Hoping you can pull a title this year.

Let’s start a new run in Houston. I’m ready.
