Yes just because he got rid of Harden. No in the long term. But meh :| Also yes because we didn’t give in and gave him to Morey Didn’t trade Tucker with him and gave in on their demans of being together. The trade is meh but at least I’ll be able to enjoy the team now. Win or lose at least these players will try
We should’ve sent out more. Could sent out Tucker and kept Prince. This trade has no direction for us.
Also the haul you look for when you have a cash poor owner who is more worried about his mega yacht payment
This year's pick swap is mildly interesting -- we're already in a weird pick swap where we get the worst of ours, OKC, and Miami's pick (top 4 protected). That effectively is a hedge allowing us to move up from Miami to Brooklyn pick spots if things go about as expected. I don't know what to make of Brooklyn. Weird depth, no practice time, and Kyrie is the ultimate wild card. Their pick this year could end up better than it should (maybe late teens or early 20s instead of mid-late 20s) just by virtue of a weird season.
Oladipo and four f LATE rounders for Harden? That is not good. Oladipo should be traded for a younger pieces at the deadline and the tank job should begin
It was time to blow it up. James didn’t give a ****, showed up fat, was a distraction on and off the court, and basically stopped giving full effort towards the end. He was just coasting the last few games. Do I love the return? Not really. But it needed to happen.
Kyrie is MIA still and no signs of returning, they might end up with a very mediocre record especially if Durant gets load managed
durant will sit out games here and there just like many of the other players now especially when they play horrible teams but hes about to play in back to backs.
Because the Brooklyn nets won't be the top team in the NBA in 2025, 2026, and 2027 when KD and Harden are 36 years old
I don't think they win the Ship, maybe make the finals but not beating the Lakers. I think PJ, Ego and maybe even Dipo may get traded before the deadline
Late firsts, some swaps and an expiring so Tilman could get below the luxury tax and reduce salary long term. Terrible trade for a terrible organization.
Well the rockets are probably going to be worse in 25 and 27 and those years are pick swaps. But you're right, the 2026 pick is the one that has a decent chance at being valuable. So we probably traded Harden for either 0 or 1 good picks.
