Here’s to hoping Harden takes his poor chemistry with star teammates with him to Brooklyn, wrecks the Nets, and increases the value of these picks. Otherwise, like many have already said, these are late first rounders whose only value is potential packaged deals to move up in the lottery
You guys remember the excitement after Dwight committed? its only been like 5 seasons but that **** feels like a lifetime ago. Now were back at square 1
I am not going to let the end spoil my fandom for Harden. I will root for them in BRK. Loved him here, but after the Westbrook trade, it was clear we had no path and I am happy with the haul. Some of those picks have high upside. Time to inflate the value of our other guys and strip this team down.
Overall I can live with what we got. I prefer Oladipo to Levert. Wish we got Allen. On the flip side, ya I'm surprised like everyone else that the 76ers didn't reunite Harden and Daryl, and Simmons has more "star" quality to his name, but imagining him and Wall playing together just never won me over. Thybulle would've been a great defensive piece to add with Simmons' def too. But we got the draft picks and a borderline recovering "all-star" in Oladipo. Him and Wall play both ends and it'll at least be more exciting than the drama we've watched thus far.
sorry if already answered, but on the swaps... haven't the rockets traded some of their future firsts? so what are they swapping on those years? @BimaThug @Clutch ?
Apparently he just hired an agent to help facilitate the trade. My guess is that the agent told him he had to say something to get the Rockets to act.
Morey overpaid for CP3 and overpaid for WB but was unwilling to overpay for his main man?? Something tells me despite reports, it was Titman who likely got frustrated at Moreys negotiations and said **** it, I'd rather have luxury tax savings and picks. Morey would have eventually overpaid. It was titmans ego.
We shouldt have keep Allen And LaVert. I prefer LaVert over Oladipo (! year contract) And Allen is a good player (22 years old), we move him for a late 2022 first????? Bad Bad Bad
According to @Nook we have minimum wage staff working at the scouting department. I wouldn't get my hopes up until we hire some real help.
Wish Harden success unless it's against the Rockets. Hope the Rockets can start from scratch and find a winning formula capable of getting a chip within the next few seasons. Anything is possible I suppose.
Wouldn't be shocked if we had a better record than BKN in 2 years from now. Brooklyn is a team of dynamite and by that I mean that there's like a 70% chance they will implode.
Think long term rebuild here. This season will be tough. But we have a top 4 protected. You want expiring deals. Just wait and watch Brooklyn become irrelevant in the next couple years and funnel us great pick after great pick. Root for a harden style disappointment this year in Bkn. Then an implosion.
It has to be for money, otherwise it makes no sense... Jarrett Allen and Prince for Exum and a '22 Bucks pick Exum has next to no upside and the 22 Bucks pick is trash since Giannis resigned. Jarrett Allen alone has to have more value then that.
