Magic turned down 2 FRP from Blazers in offseason. Rockets accepted that trade for RoCo & 2 FRP. So that is where 2 FRP comes from. And if you did watch Magic, you could see how his game would complement Harden-Wood. He provides another long athletic wing to help Wood in iso defense. AG can play small ball 5 switch everything defense in clutch time. And AG is a playmaking 6'8 who has been played out of position for most of his career with Magic. He has had to play in system that crowds paint with too many bigs. Early in his career he played started at SF and played PF behind Ibaka-Tobias Harris and playing alongside Biyombo. And now recently has played at SF due to Isaac, Aminu at PF and Vuc/Bamba at 5. Even now with Isaac injured for season, AG is still splitting time at PF with Okeke, Gary Clark and Khem Birch. Magic offense does not play PNR, 5 Out or emphasize easy offense/push pace in transition. Nor does Magic play switch heavy defense. These areas are where AG's skillset shines brightest. I have looked for these kind of players for years. I have also been a huge RoCo and Wood fan and have pushed to bring them back just as hard as I've pushed for AG. And I'm getting questioned for 2 FRP for 2 young players with star potential + legit 3ball snipe while I see some other trades suggest 4 FRP for ONE player with star potential.
5th Feb trade (waiting on Harris contract to be tradeable) HOUreceives LeVert Allen Harris Prince Dinwiddie 2021/ 23/ 25 first round picks (with some protections) 2022/4/6/7 option to swap BKN receives Harden Tucker Gordon House Nets: G Irving | Shamet | Johnson G Harden | Gordon C Jordan | Green | Claxton F Tucker | Luwawu-Cabarrot F Durant | House | Kurucs Hou: G Wall | Brown | Dinwiddie(inj) G LeVert | McLemore C Allen | Cousins F Wood* | Tate | Prince F Harris | Nwaba Quite a few picks. Nets get a legit shot to win it all (hence trade away a stack of assets). Hou get some fringe all star talent (LeVert, Dinwiddie and Allen), plus a lights out shooter (Harris), plus lots of picks. Rebuild is a long way from completed with this move - but it gives the opportunity to have a look at Wood as a 4/5 - playing alongside Allen in spurts, and as the sole big alongside a longer 4 in Prince. There are some genuinely moveable pieces there, and the team would be positioning itself to flip assets for a star when possible
Let's play BIG!!! If Silas insists on playing drop coverage as our base defense then Rockets need a true drop coverage 5. https://tradenba.com/trades/cbYtwZBOm ORL: Collin Sexton, Eric Gordon + Cavs FRP + Rox FRP CLE: John Wall, Danuel House, Chris Clemons HOU: Aaron Gordon, Larry Nance Jr., Andre Drummond OR https://tradenba.com/trades/VX5IBSaVS ORL: Kevin Love, Collin Sexton, Danuel House CLE: John Wall, Evan Fournier, Eric Gordon, Chris Clemons HOU: Andre Drummond, Aaron Gordon, Larry Nance Jr. 6'5 Harden/6'3 McLemore 6'7 Nance/6'5 Nwaba/6'5 Brown 6'8 AG/6'5 Tucker 6'10 Wood/6'4 Tate/6'9 Bruno 6'10 Drummond/6'10 Cousins *Starting 5 are ALL triple threats per Silas model *Secondary playmakers: AG, Drummond, Boogie *Rebounding, Disruptions (steals, deflections, blocks), FG% improved. *Save 3.2M and open roster spot *Sign Gerald Green or better 3ball sniper in Ryan Broekhoff.
Acknowledging the situation and tanking this season: https://tradenba.com/trades/22qe5RMsc Players 25 and under (the core): Wood, Tate, KJ Martin, Turner, Hunter, Huerter, & Thybulle 2021 Draft picks: Portland, Hou, Philly, Atl & Indiana This presupposes a complete tank to get into top 4 of the draft and keep the Rocket's pick.
What do you guys think about this: Rockets: Colby White, Patrick Williams, Matisse Thybulle, Otto Porter Jr., 2 picks, 2 swaps. 76ers: James Harden Bulls: Ben Simmons, Danuel House, Tyrese Maxey — 76ers pair up Harden and Embiid obviously. — Bulls do it to pair Simmons and LaVine, two 25 year old stars along with Markkanen and Carter. — Rockets get their franchise cornerstones in Colby and Patrick, picks, and salary relief as Porter’s $28M comes off the books after this season.

Jerami Grant Watch Detroit is 2-8 Next games are vs Milwaukee, vs Washington, @Miami, @Miami, @Atlanta. Projected 3-12. Jerami is trade eligible on Feb 5th Current Stats: 25.1 ppg 6.2 rebounds 1.9 assists 0.8 steals 1.2 blocks 1.3 turnovers 46.5 FG% 37.5 3FG% 86.7 FT% Ladies and gentlemen, we might be seeing the birth of a star.
@D-rock and another good game from Gordon. His 3 point volume has picked up. Ready for this to happen. Gordon, Grant or Nance, with Gordon and picks going out. I wonder how much leverage having Detroit’s own pick matters in negotiations. I know it’s protected, but it’s protected for a LOOOOONG time, really limiting their flexibility. Regardless, excited to see this move, as it appears inevitable.
Cavs are loving him right now too. We should have gone after him last season or in offseason like I suggested because he was trending to breakout like he has so far this season.
I was worried that AG would get hot from 3 (almost 36%) and increase his AST numbers (this will happen next), that is why I wanted to target him sooner.
Im ok with it. I mean, if we lose tomorrow, we are 3-6 with 2 games against a crafty San Antonio coming up. Entirely possible we see a new round of public trade demands from Harden soon. Don’t want to invest if he’s not in.
