How do we fix the divide & teach truth to the disenfranchised?

I don't think it is possible for many of those people, they have been totally brain washed.

 

Tell them the truth, and if they don’t accept it, they can go **** themselves— all 74 million of them.

 

It is OK to reintegrate Nazis AFTER they were defeated in a war. Today Nazis need to accept defeat and culpability first.

 

People need to be held accountable for fomenting insurrection and subversion. Senators and Congressman need to hacked off at the knees by their caucuses and financial supporters much in the way Republicans finally went after Steve King. Censured, stripped of chairmanships, and generally shunned. Of course Trump belongs in prison. The feds should be picking him up as soon as he leaves the White House. Trump has attempted to create his own deep state by putting yes men in positions of power. The government must be purged of these creeps.

My fear is that Biden doesn't have the fire in his belly to go after these people. He wants to pursue his agenda without dealing with these ****ers and that is the wrong move. If you don't deal with these people now you will deal with them in a much more dangerous situation down the road. Learn the lessons of fascism.

To the every day people you meet in the streets and in public, every single one of them wearing a MAGA hat or flying a Trump flag should be called what they are, ****ing traitors. That's going to be my policy from now on anyway.

 

The damage has been done. Not sure it’s repairable. You have “news organizations” like Fox News that make millions off giving a platform to these conspiracy spreaders. You have Republican politicians who will tell any lie to stay in office. I’m not sure what can be done at this point.

 

I think that it is best to make sure there is a difference between bridging the gap between the run-of-the-mill Trump supporter and those that are criminal. The same is true for distinguishing the difference between people on the left that are the most extreme and the majority on the left.

Basically any news story from any source that makes blanket statements about Liberals/Democrats or Conservatives/Republicans/Trump supporters needs to be narrowed down to just the individuals or small numbers in the group that are doing the sensational newsworthy things. Blanket statements either way are about dividing and not problem solving.

Yes, it is true that people that support whatever candidate or issues obviously obverlook problems with the people they support. But not alienating them will do more to rectify that situation than by calling them all names. Show the difference.

That may not be realistic in the short term but we need to make steps. It's easy to want to give payback point to scoreboards, etc. But some group needs to be the first one to not continue the same unsuccessful patterns. We've seen what happens in the middle east when people keep trying to exact an eye for an eye. It just keeps going on and on with no real progress. It is only when someone says they won't do that which will bring about a change.

For the record, I think the team with the most resources, and currently winning team will have an easier time making that first move. So right now it is up to Democrats.

There is no instant fix, a flawless victory would be slowly overcoming this diarrhea soup movement of anti-intellectualism, corruption, and white nationalism over the next couple of decades, other scenarios is that it takes much longer than that, or that is just isn't overcome, that it gets worse, or even much worse.

I don't have a lot of hope for this country, maybe things will be a lot better 20 years from now, I won't be holding my breath.

 

As long as you have Fox and Friends, radical right wing radio, and facebook nonsense being propagated by everyone from selfish billionaires who want another billion, foreign actors who wish to see the U.S. fall or just taken down a peg, and morons/true believers.... we aren't even ready for the question of how to heal the nation. The shells are still landing all around you. The right question is how to win the "war". The first step is to somehow kneecap these echo chambers and lie peddlers. I don't know how to do this equitably but it must be done.

Second is to consolidate enough power to actually fix the economic system that left so many people behind over the last 30+ years. Not the left wing version of the status quo. You've actually got to make peoples lives better and you're going to have to drag more than half of them kicking and screaming the whole way. That means as close to can as exist on this Earth altruistic plutonian philosopher kings of Kallipolis because there will be no room for hypocrisy when trying to lead lost sheep back to the fold.

It would take trump himself genuinely expressing he made up the lies. Even then you would have some that would say someone is just forcing him to say it or he was cloned or whatever looney tunes non sense they can come up with but these people will only listen to trump and those that agree with him.

A lot of these people are also just huge losers and want to feel a part of something big. This is all they have going. Trump has given them someone to blame for their failures. Its hard to see anyone but trump fixing this without violence. This threat is not over unless trump gets them to stand down.....and since he won't people need to prepare themselves for a lot more bloodshed. Trump is the savior to white america for them. Jesus christ returned. Jesus can never be wrong. These are scary times

 

By all means, big city liberals need to create a great-big-o socialist program to fix rural conservatives and then need to forcefully shove it down their throat.
