Why *EXACTLY* do we want Harden to play off the ball
and not WALL play off the ball?

Wall won't agree to play off the ball all that much. He has to be the main ball handler or he won't be happy. We're sacrificing our offense just to keep Wall happy. We did the same last year for Westbrook.

This is what I am confused on
EVERY STAR THAT COMES HERE . . .THE IMMEDIATE RESPONSE IS . . . HARDEN MUST DEFER TO _________.

People were mad he did not defer to Dwight
People were mad he did not defer to CP3
People were mad he did not defer to WESTBROOK
People were mad he did not defer to WALL

Every time . . .the call is HARDEN MUST CHANGE TO INTEGRATE someone . .. . .

When are they suppose to maybe change up to help Harden

Wall is playing good but I do have the concern that he is like Westbrook
in that THEY PLAY WELL . . but NOT WINNING Basketball

Wall is like Westbrook basically minus the explosiveness Westbrook had in his prime but with better shot IQ and a bit better shooting.

These 2 are just a bad fit on the court, it was obvious since day one. The only teammate we saw that worked with Harden's game is CP3 who had a good ISO game and can shoot. John Wall & Westbrook aren't that type of player.

I think they're trying to force Harden into something he's not and obviously it hasn't worked well (unless we play bad teams). Or... maybe we're trying to get Wall's value up so we can deal him along with Harden in the off-season. We have our FRP next year so it'd be a good year to tank. Christian Wood can still get his points if we're tanking. He's still young enough to be part of this rebuild.

Time to photoshop Silas’s head onto Lu Dort’s body.

Except Russ last year was actually better off the ball than Wall is b/c of his cutting. As sad as that is.

for some reason, Harden is the one who always needs to take a backseat to the lesser player

there are some people who wanted the ball to be in Westbrook’s hands more last season...just insane

Wall is a better fit next to Harden than Russ was, and he’s nowhere near as harmful, but the obvious truth is that Harden doesn’t need John Wall

Harden and another PG that needs the ball in his hands a lot, but has a weak jumper, isn’t the answer

Harden is a better facilitator than Wall, he shifts the defense more than Wall when he has the ball, and he generates much better offense than Wall, but then Harden still needs to let Wall handle the ball more and be off-ball o_O

Because it's a team sport with certain roster weaknesses.... I feel like we have seen the limits of Harden iso ball. Reproducing an iso heavy, elite defensive team will be almost impossible given our contract/cap constraints.

Also.... it's interesting people interpret it as Harden "taking a back seat".

Sounds better than having Wall be a spot up shooter..... or a slasher..... ? I don't understand what you expected Russ to do while he was here? Or Wall?

I'd rather Harden ( the better scorer) finish the play off a Russ or Wall pass than a Russ or Wall shot.

Harden is as good on ball as curry is off ball. You wouldn’t try and make Steph curry an in ball player. Trying fit a square peg in a round hole

You also forget that Wall knows how to dribble and doesn't apply a layer of grease to his fingers before he checks into the game.

I think people have the idea that Harden could get more points coming of screens ala Tmac or Kevin Martin. Those shots don’t really exist in most NBA offenses anymore.

James is so damn talented that we expect him to cover up all the weaknesses of his teammates...

Such and such can’t shoot: James play off the ball and stop passing it

This guy can’t create: James go be a distributor

We can’t rebound: James go get all the boards

The team can’t score: James go get me 60pts

The team can’t get stops: James go lead the league in steals

    Harden 27 pts 2.8 asst/to ratio 4 TO 11.3 asst 4.7 rebs
    Wall 21 pts 1.5 asst/to ratio 3.4 TO 5.2 asst 4.6 rebs

Explain to me how Wall is the better PG? Should have the Ball in his hands?

We need a PG when harden sits
    Cp3, Westbrook served those roles
Silas doesn’t want to stagger wall and harden for some reason
