Mortensen is a hack, he's reporting on stuff that nobody really cares about. What he should be focusing on is how that wall is coming along. What type of bricks are they gonna use, clay, concrete, terracotta?
Lmao, they can kick rocks if they think Tua is getting you Watson first off. And if reports are true (still have suspicions) that Deshaun is saying they’re insensitive to racial issues because they didn’t interview EB, he’s a dumbass. Stupid, period. Their first interviews were with minority candidates, Dungy has Cals ear, and Deshaun has a big fat contract. None of those scream they don’t want minority parts in the team.
You'd probably be looking at: Tua #3 Overall Pick this year First Round pick next year Between removing Watson and jettisoning Watt, you solve a lot of cap problems. You get Tua to be your rookie-contract QB. You re-establish draft capital for the inevitable rebuild. Miami takes the next step to true contender. If Watson really is going to push to get out and if he has the ability to make life a mess for the Texans (both of these are in question), this would actually be a strong trade for both sides.
Waited soo long for a QB .. finally get one and now he wants to bolt. This franchise is a joke. I don't know where to go from here. Maybe replace football with soccer ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I'm not a fan of Tua at all and think he was a product of elite talent surrounding him at Alabama - but the league doesn't view him that way. He's a rookie coming off a major injury and was thought to be the consensus #1 pick about 15 months ago. No one in the league is judging him by half a rookie season (see: Josh Allen, amongst others) - especially one with no training camp or in-person prep work.
So essentially- DW and a first round pick for laremy tunsil, tua and Kenny stills... Is pat riley running the dolphins too?
This is the saddest point of all. Cal is gleefully choosing to trust Easterbunny over everything. Again, this is the darkest timeline
No one in the league views him as a potential star. If they want Watson, they can give both 1sts and our second this year, first next year, Tua and Howard.
The Texans have proven time and time again they aren't an organization where competing for a SB is the primary goal. As long as some good ol boys can field a competent team, they're happy. I don't blame Watson for not wanting to waste his career here like Dre and Watt did. I honestly hope Watson goes public, I think national shaming is the only chance we have for any change with Cal.
Caserio needs to come out and just say he's not trading Watson. But just for kicks, Miami has the #3 and #6 overall pick along with two 2nd rounders this year. I'm not sure if I want Tua, but if I am, I'm taking both of #3 and #6 along with next year's 1st if I'm even picking up the phone.
Edit: Whoops read that wrong. #3 and #18. In that case, I’m also getting our 2nd rounder back along with 2022 1st.
