I would like to think so but Trump has unleashed something that is likely beyond even his control. Listening to these Trumpists this is more grievance to them as he didn't really concede and they too will believe he was forced into it by Pence and others who are less than absolutely loyal. I get the feeling there is going to be some ugliness around inauguration day and security better be very tight around it.
I'm sure basso's heroes are planning something for inauguration day. These terrorist openly talked about giving police one warning to clear out and if not they would take them out. Some were carrying large cable ties when they entered the building and I'm sure they were not there to tidy up some cable management under a desk. The dumb ass lady that died was there for the beginning of executing trump's enemies
why did they even let him back on? do they have to create a written policy that says if you incite insurrection that results in people dying, you're banned for life, before they feel comfortable banning him? they need to cut the oxygen off this narcissistic flame before it burns anything else.
Do you think that pushing him out via the 25th or impeachment will make that any better? If anything, I think it will make them louder and angrier. These people need to be treated like the infants they are.
...only problem with that is that we don't usually have to deal with two-year-olds armed with assault rifles.
Let’s not be too hasty. Two weeks, lots of drugs and alone time with no outlet like he’s used to. We could all end up radiation baked raisins before then with this nut job slowly stewing in his defeated narcissist sludge.
Im not worried about the rabbling band of extremist. Im more worried about more of those 74M turning into rabbling band of extremist. On the other hand, kicking him out of office will let future sociopaths know that they will be removed from office.
...and for my man @Rocket River ... ...here's something good that came out of Russia, my friend. Dasvidaniya.
It very well might make them louder and angrier but you don't treat infants by giving into their demands.
There are times in history and life where decisions have to made. Where you have to decide whether it's better to just let things be and hope for the best or whether there is time to take action that very well might be risky. Most of the people on here know I usually preach caution and two days ago I wouldn't have preached the the 25th Amendment but it's clear to me that Trump cannot carry out the the duties of the offence and rather than making the country more secure is making it less. This isn't even about undermining norms or breaking laws, that is what impeachment is for, this is about a crisis where the President can not perform his duty. That is what the 25th Amendment is for.
In 40 BC the Emperor of Rome Gaius Julius Caesar more commonly known as Caligula proclaimed that he was going to leave Rome and go to Egypt where he could be worshipped as a God. Out of personal ambition for power and immortality he was willing to debase and undermine the country he ruled and was sworn to protect. SPQR. This was following insults to the Senate and even those who had supported him and tried to protect him, sound familiar. Finally his own Praetorian guard assasinated him. Thankfully we don't need the Secret Service to assasinate our Caesar. We have Constitutional means to remove a mad Emperor.
